Located in a rural spot along the delightful Moray Firth, this peaceful dwelling is a wonderful spot for a restorative holiday in the Scottish countryside. The area offers a wealth of attractions, from its highly regarded beaches to its two championship golf courses. With two bedrooms, the glorious stone cottage is perfect for a family trip or holiday among friends, with one dog welcome to join in the fun.

Previously an 18th-century stable, this accommodation is brimming with rustic appeal, with its stone exterior and attractive arched windows. Inside, the owners have taken great care to create a cosy atmosphere, with stylish vintage furniture and a warm colour scheme. As you settle in, you’ll notice plenty of reminders you’re in Scotland, from the checked soft furnishings to the carefully chosen artwork.

The ground floor features underfloor heating. In the expansive open-plan lounge and dining area, the grand open fireplace creates a cosy and inviting aura. There’s a TV for unwinding after a day of sightseeing and two floor-to-ceiling windows offering spectacular views over the beautifully landscaped gardens. A full-size sofa bed is available in the lounge if you have any extra guests. The adjacent kitchen is fully equipped, so it’s easy to keep everyone fed and watered during your stay, and there’s a convenient downstairs shower room.

Upstairs, you'll find two spacious super-king-size bedrooms with zip-and-link beds that can be made into two singles on advance request. Each bedroom is charmingly decorated with tasteful decorative additions and has its own en-suite facilities for extra privacy and convenience.

Stepping through the patio doors, your garden is a true sanctuary where you can read and watch the children play. There’s comfortable furniture for relaxing and a BBQ for those fresh-air dinners.

You’ll be 2.5 miles from Nairn, an ancient fishing port and market town with an enviable position right on the Moray Firth. As well as its wonderful dog-friendly beach, it’s got a museum and plenty of shops and restaurants for you to discover.

The Culbin Forest (6.5 miles) is a unique Special Protection Area (SPA) that stretches 9 miles along the stunning Moray Coast – it’s great for losing yourself in nature and is sure to get the woof of approval from your canine companion.

History enthusiasts can delve into the past at Brodie Castle (4.5 miles) or Cawdor Castle (6.5 miles). Fort George (10.5 miles) is another fascinating site – this large 18th-century fortress houses army barracks, canon batteries, ammunition stores, a chapel, a bakehouse and a brewhouse. What’s more, the views across of the Black Isle are outstanding here.

Keen to taste some more of that yummy Scotch liquor? Take a flavourful tour along the Malt Whisky Trail, which takes in nine big-name and boutique distilleries, the nearest of which is Benromach, 8 miles east.

It was amazing beautiful setting .we could take our dog there was a large field for it to run in,The owner had provided lots of information where to go to the coast, what goes on locally and advised us to shop in a lovely farm shop that provided everything so fresh..We would definitely go here again.
