Natural light and neutral colours have teamed together in this property to create a wonderfully welcoming space with relaxation at its core. Kick off your walking boots and make your way into the kitchen to put on a fresh pot of tea. Whilst you're here, prep the tasty produce you brought earlier for a delicious supper around the table. This stylish kitchen has all the equipment you could possibly need for hearty breakfasts, light lunches and delightful dinners. After dinner, rest your weary legs in front of the TV, strike up the wood burner, and snuggle with your loved one.

On the other hand, you may like to don the window seat and admire incredible views towards the loch. When heads begin to nod, head along the hall to a light and bright super-king-size bedroom for a blissful night's sleep. In the morning, the family bedroom offers the opportunity for a lovely long soak before you return to the wild.

Outside, an enclosed garden is the perfect spot for curious canines while their humans can keep an eye on the boats bobbing along against the mountain backdrop with a wee dram in hand. There is parking here for one car and a lovely little welcome pack for guests.

Superbly located in a 1,800-acre estate, this wonderful accommodation has easy access to a rolling, forested landscape with many varieties of wildlife to spot along the way. This fascinating area takes you through vast areas of history, including derelict buildings that once belonged to fishing communities, the remains of Castle Ewen and a beach that was once owned by the Rankin family, who were once pipers to the Kings of Scotland. Red squirrels, otters, Canadian geese and wigeons may be spotted as you venture through, so remember to bring your binoculars.

If you'd like to venture further, the hidden gem of Tighnabruaich (9 miles) is well worth a visit, thanks to its Victorian pier, fantastic seafood, welcoming pubs, vibrant arts scene and breathtaking scenery, to name a few!

Discover more wonderful attractions, such as Benmore Gardens (23 miles) or the Isle of Bute, which can be reached with a short ferry ride. Here, you'll find a spectacular Gothic mansion, Mount Stuart (29 miles), built in 1719 and restored in the 19th century after a fire severely damaged the property in 1877. It also boasts 300 acres of manicured landscape and the backdrop of the striking Firth of Clyde – a majestic estate if ever we saw one.

Helpful site manager, responded immediately to any requests. Clean & tidy, with fully enclosed garden. Warm with plenty of hot water. Hand held shower over bath which is a bit of a drawback. Well maintained, with new kitchen. Netflix and fast broadband!

This is a lovely setting and nice clean cottage. I would definitely stay again. Something to be mindful of is that this is very remote in the winter months due the nearby hotel being closed until Easter and the next nearest pub 4 miles away only opening at weekends.

As the property is very rural we were delighted that the hotel nearby (as stated in the property description) would be an option for meals / drinks etc as it was so close by. I did check the hotel website as our holiday got nearer and found that they had closed for winter. Had this been highlighted we would not of booked the property.
