This rural bolthole in the north-west Highlands is set on a peaceful road just outside Badachro and boasts uninterrupted views of the surrounding lochs and mountains. The property sleeps six guests and is perfect for large families and groups of friends who enjoy an outdoor lifestyle. There are endless walking opportunities in the immediate area, from tranquil waterside strolls to exhilarating mountain hikes. The bustling village of Gairloch is 6.5 miles away, and has a good range of shops and eateries.

The stylish holiday home sits high above the village, offering jaw-dropping views of the surrounding mountainous scenery. The detached property has a reverse-level layout – to really make the most of the elevated setting - and is decorated in a contemporary style, with bold paintwork and a fascinating collection of quirky accessories.

On the ground floor you’ll find three exceptional bedrooms, all with their own, unique sense of style. Choose from a king-size bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and French doors opening onto the veranda, a second king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room, or a twin bedroom with an en-suite shower room (this bedroom can be made up as a king-size on request). A family shower room and a handy utility room complete the ground floor.

A vast, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner awaits upstairs, with French doors opening onto a balcony overlooking the loch. Spend memorable evenings in this sociable space, cooking up a storm in the kitchen and dining together around the large dining table. After dinner, snuggle up in front of the wood burner in the lounge area to watch a film on the Smart TV. There’s also an office with an iMac 27, should you need to do a wee bit of work whilst away.

Outside, sip a morning coffee on the balcony whilst planning the day’s itinerary. At ground level there’s a large garden with furniture for outdoor entertaining and ample space for the kids to play.

  • 3 bedrooms – 2 king-size, 1 twin zip-and-link (which can be made up as a king-size bed on request)

The quaint village of Badachro is full of Highland charm. Enjoy a wee tipple in the cosy village pub, or perhaps pick up a locally made souvenir from the cute gift shop by the harbour. Just outside the village is Badachro Distillery, where you can sample the artisan whiskies, gins, and vodkas, all with their own Highland twist.

There are some truly stunning beaches in the area, including Red Point Beach (6 miles) with its magical pink/red sand and far-reaching views towards the Isle of Skye. This untouched beauty spot offers peace and tranquillity in abundance and is the perfect place to fully switch off.

Gairloch, 6.5 miles away, is a bustling village on the popular North Coast 500 driving route. Here, you’ll find a good selection of cafes and pubs to dine in, along with companies offering canoe, kayak, and paddleboard hire, allowing you to explore the spectacular scenery from the water. You can also hop on a boat trip to go fishing and wildlife watching around the coast.

As expected, the area is a haven for keen walkers. The circular walk at Fairy Lochs, just outside Badachro, is one of the most popular, thanks to its beautiful views of the coastline and mountains and the mystical reflections in the small lochs dotted amongst the rocky hills.
