Discover this fantastic first-floor apartment in the striking Victorian holiday town of Helensburgh, Loch Lomond. This family-friendly home boasts proximity to the Promenade with easy access to shops, cafes and a local health club. It's also ideally located for exploring the lakes of Loch Lomond and has ample space for a group of six people and their two dogs.

Cream walls and plush carpets are complemented by bright artwork and unique wallpapers, creating a homely stay with plenty of personality. The open-plan lounge/diner is at the heart of the home, where leather sofas beckon you to recline in front of the SkyTV after a busy day of adventuring the landscape.

Whip up delicious feasts in the stylish kitchen space and congregate around the table to break bread and share the day's highlights. Down the hall, the family bathroom provides a bubbly sanctuary for aching legs, while the two king-size rooms and one twin room offer a blissful night's sleep. Rounding off the holiday home is a separate utility room with a washing machine and dryer for rinsing through muddy towels, coats and dog paraphernalia.

Outside, the spacious enclosed garden is perfect for children and dogs to roam while the adults unwind on the comfy rattan chairs in front of the BBQ. Dine out here while basking in the sunshine, or enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day. The sunroom is a lovely addition to the property with an arcade-type basketball set, or kids can enjoy the trampoline, swing and choice of outdoor games. There is space for two cars here.

This cottage is perfectly positioned just two streets over from the Promenade of Helensburgh, with handsome buildings, independent art and jewellery shops, award-winning restaurants and cafes. Pause here for a while for plates of fish and chips, or try Scotland's famous dish of haggis, neeps and tatties. Monty's Farm Park (3.5 miles) is perfect for the children of the group, with meet-and-greet animal barns, special wooden indoor and outdoor adventures, a role-playing barn and a giant trampoline.

A visit to this particular part of Scotland would only be complete with a trip to the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond (13 miles). Set in Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, this unique stretch of countryside has some truly wonderful activities to try, including kayaking and paddleboarding, while on dry land, visitors can immerse themselves in stunning surroundings with a gentle stroll or energetic workout. The Sea Life Aquarium and Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre are 8.5 miles away from the home and great for families.

Loch Lomond's only country park, Balloch Castle (9.5 miles), features commanding views over vast waters with 200 acres of nature trails and guided walks. In the park, you can explore the Fairy Glen, Chinese Garden, Quarry Pond, and Kitchen Garden, all of which have unique landscaping.
