Conveniently situated, you're within easy reach of Dalbeattie (7 miles), as well as the market towns of Castle Douglas, Scotland’s ‘Food Town’ (13 miles), and Kirkcudbright (21 miles), known as the ‘Artist’s Town’. Explore the RSPB Mersehead (4 miles) or indulge in a variety of water sports and activities at the Galloway Activity Centre located at Loch Ken (20 miles). Further afield, the Galloway Forest Park (30 miles) awaits your exploration, while the castles of Caerlaverock (22 miles), Threave (14 miles), and Drumlanrig offer rich historical experiences.

We had a fantastic break at Driftwood lodge. The accommodation is cozy and very comfortable and is so well equipped with everything. The hot tub is luxurious and great fun to relax in and is so well maintained. We enjoyed short drives to the coastal villages for nice walks and pub grub. The Deer park safari next door is a must visit and great valueRead more for money. The Steamboat Inn was our favourite meal. Great communication by owners who provided a lovely welcome pack, a nice touch. Hide

Gorgeous cabin, pictures don't do it justice, really lovely, cosy, modern, spacious and hot tub was great, lovely area, peaceful and huge beach, and the Beagle pub had some nice food and literally 1 min walk from Lodge, really enjoyed it.

This is a beautiful, peaceful location and a well appointed and well equipped lodge. Very comfortable living and sleeping accomodation. The hot tub is a great bonus and perfect for stargazing on a clear night. The nearby deer park is a must visit on the deer safari and the cafe is great too. The pub onsite provided acceptable pub grub and some enteRead morertainment and always a warm welcome. Wed also recommend the Steamboat inn for lunch (circa 10 mins drive away) We had a great holiday here. Thank you Hide

Fantastic cottage to relax and enjoy. Spotlessly clean, and well equipped . Welcome hamper and items for the dogs much appreciated. Hot tub was also first class.
