Nestled amongst the calming, solitary countryside of Burns Country, this incredible cottage offers rest and recuperation in a converted stable block. Unique stonework and impressive turrets set this handsome holiday home apart from the rest, making your stay in West Scotland extra exciting. Sleeping four guests, this abode lends itself perfectly to any small family, or couple seeking romance and a little bit of extra space to spread out.

Presented with an entirely unique layout, the property is laid out over three floors, with staircases leading separately up to the bathroom and bedrooms from the capacious hallway. The cottage has been maintained with bright and clean interior decor, with quirky features adding to the overall charm of the place.

Leave coats and boots in the hallway before taking a flight of stairs down to the open-plan living space. This lower floor offers a lounge, kitchen and dining room, a great space to socialise and unwind. Rustle up something tasty in the kitchen, raise a glass at the table and settle in for a night on the sofas with the Smart TV on.

From the living area, take a single flight of stairs up to reach two bedrooms. The king-size and twin bedrooms are exceptionally comfortable, with artworks adorning the walls. Head back downstairs, through the hallway and up an additional flight to reach the refreshing family bathroom.

A private patio space, ample woodlands and on-site tennis courts make up the outdoor offering of this fabulous cottage. Slow mornings and restful evenings can be spent outside sipping a drink on the patio, and you can make a head start on your stalking by exploring the woodlands, home to red squirrels and plenty of deer. Private, off-road parking for 3 cars is also available.

We booked a week's stay at this wonderful cottage , but it was cut short by storm Eowyn which covered the Dumfries area. The cottage was beautifully presented, clean and warm, the kitchen was well stocked and our bed was extremely comfortable. Even when we lost power after the storm our host, Angela ensured we were kept comfortable, and was extremeRead morely attentive. We enjoyed the welcome pack , thank you. We would highly recommend a stay here. Hide

A lovely property in a beautiful location, so quiet and peaceful but not far from the town of Dumfries and a great base to go exploring from. Thoughtfully equipped and we had everything we needed. The owner was lovely, checked in with us but was not intrusive in anyway. Would definitely go back
