Switch off from the daily grind and enjoy a peaceful Highland holiday in this cosy, American-style log cabin. With plenty of social spaces for six guests and glorious views of Ben Nevis, this lovely holiday home is perfect for groups of friends and families wanting to explore Fort William – the 'Outdoor Capital of the UK'.

Step inside this traditionally styled property to find fascinating original features such as exposed beams and wooden furnishings and paneling that's reminiscent of a classic alpine lodge. Leave behind your walking boots in the entryway before making your way into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This space is ideal for groups to chat through the day's events, while others may like to watch a film on the Smart TV. Find a light and refreshing kitchen space that is well-appointed for preparing your favourite dishes. The dining table sits beside sliding French doors, providing plenty of light for tucking into meals or enjoying the selection of board games on offer. However you decide to spend your time, do it with the crackling flames of the wood burner in the background. For more relaxation, a mezzanine-level snug beckons quiet moments. At the end of each busy day away, retire to a choice of three sumptuous bedrooms that make use of the family bathroom and separate shower room – two king-size rooms and a cosy twin bedroom.

Each morning, you're greeted outside with 360-degree views of incredible scenery. Immerse yourself in these mountain vistas while you lounge on the patio, relax with a drink, and watch the children play in the large garden. The photos need to be updated to include the new kitchen but mostly the absolutely stunning view! The mountains in the morning while youre having a coffee are breathtaking. The cabin, although very slightly tired in places, is beautiful and a wonderful place to spend time relaxing.

The location is phenomenal, truly. There is such a beautiful view of the mountains from its scenic position. It can be difficult to find, but it's not a huge issue. There were a few problems though. The hot water does not last long enough to fill the advertised bath, and the owners of the farm also have a protective dog who will bark viciously at yRead moreour car and circle it upon approach. However, if these are not issues for you, then it's perfect. Beautiful. Quiet, and well located. 4/5 stars. Hide

The views are stunning. The large windows allow you to take full advantage of them, as does sitting on the decking. The house is spacious and welcoming. As a family with three teenagers, they all asked to come back to the Lodge. We would gladly come back here again.
