Property code: OC-GD1857

Located within the grounds of a working organic farm on the Scottish Borders, this restful holiday home is a lovely place to relax and unwind with your nearest and dearest. It’s got space for four guests over its two bedrooms, making it ideal for a family holiday with the dogs or a trip among nature-loving friends.

Everything is on the one floor at this light and airy cottage, which has a neutral decor of greys and whites interspersed with appealing splashes of colour. The furniture is all tasteful and of high quality, and there’s carefully chosen artwork on the walls for you to admire during your stay. Since the dwelling is in an elevated position, the views all around are spectacular.

The open-plan living area is a lovely space to spend time in; it’s south-facing so gets plenty of light and sun. You can admire the stunning views through the French doors in the lounge area and the window in the kitchen. There’s comfortable seating positioned around a cosy wood burner, a dining table and a sweet kitchen that has everything you need for meal and picnic prep. Both of the bedrooms have sturdy wooden beds – the master bedroom has a double sleigh bed and its own en-suite shower room. The second bedroom is a peaceful twin. An additional modern wet room with a heated towel rail completes the accommodation.

Outside, enjoy uninterrupted views over the farm and the surrounding countryside from the south-facing patio. You’ll have a deck and patio area with garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ so you can make the most of the outdoor space. Steps from here lead down to a lower-level lawn.

This is a lovely clean and comfortable cottage. The garden is not ideal for dogs. It is on two levels with the top level having a slabbed patio and stones The lower level is reached by narrow very steep difficult stairs. One of my dogs didnt manage these.

A lovely location, beautiful views and peaceful. The cottage was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Short distance to Kelso and the Borders easily accessible from the cottage. Mrs Stewart was lovely and very helpful.

Comfortable, well-equipped cottage with stunning views - the highlight of our holiday. The surroundings were peaceful and relaxing. The owners were very friendly and offered lots of tips for exploring the area. We really appreciated the generous welcome pack. Kelso was only a 7-minute drive away, as was Floors Castle. There was so much to do that wRead moree simply ran out of time - were already planning to revisit the Borders. Hide

This was a fabulous holiday cottage. It had everything we needed for our week in the Scottish Borders. A wonderful welcome pack on arrival - and the bubbly and flowers were an extra special addition.
