Located on an organic dairy farm in the Scottish Borders, this Scandinavian-style chalet offers a contemporary home-from-home for an active family or small group keen to explore the Eden Valley and the Tweed Valley. Within 2.5 miles of Kelso, the area immediately surrounding the chalet is blessed with lush rolling fields and sunflower meadows rich with wildlife.

The single-storey chalet is one of three located on the farm, and its Scandi hygge aesthetic, clean lines and bright rooms combine to create an inviting sense of calm and simplicity. There are stylish soft furnishings scattered throughout the chalet, with rooms arranged to encourage quality time together.

The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has high ceilings and is a comfortable space with plush seating arranged around a wood burner. There are stunning country views through the wall-to-wall glass doors running at one end; drawing these back certainly adds an extra dimension to mealtimes throughout the day. The chalet’s bedrooms, a sumptuous king-size and a neat twin, enjoy lovely views and instant access to the decked area through glass doors. The chalet also has a shower room.

Outside, a pretty decked area – the perfect spot for morning coffee – is partially covered by an extended roof. The meadow-style garden beyond is a safe place for children to play with abandon ahead of a BBQ supper or a chill on the swing seats on the gravel patio. Everyone can unwind in the wood-fired hot tub, the views from which are magical at all times of the day. Those feeling more sporty can enjoy a few sets on the complex’s shared tennis court.

This is a a very comfortable chalet with fantastic views - we spent most of the mornings and evenings staring outside with our coffee / wine, depending on the time of day. The night skies when clear are a sight to behold too ..
