A modern apartment at the heart of the vibrant town of Hawick, this holiday home makes a great base for exploring the Scottish Borders. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom retreat sits on the first floor of a stone building, in a great location for shops, cafes, restaurants and the River Teviot. Ideal for two couples or a small family, the apartment also welcomes dogs, making it perfect for those with canine companions in tow.

Let yourselves into the delightful building at ground-floor level before heading on up the stairs to your private quarters. Make your way in via the welcoming hall, where you can kick off walking boots and hang your outwear.

The inviting lounge, with its elegant stone fireplace, is the perfect place to unwind together between your trips out. Sink back into the plump, brown leather sofa in here, in front of your favourite programme on the Smart TV, or chat about your day. Gaze out over the rooftops and take in the rural views beyond. Wander through to the modern kitchen to make a cup of tea or to prepare a homecooked meal with the produce you have sourced in Hawick. This space has been equipped with everything you will need. Set the table through in the airy dining room and gather round.

As the day comes to an end, head through to the colourful, family shower room to treat yourself to a steaming rinse. Your welcoming bedrooms are both double in size and offer ample space for storing your clothes and getting ready for your next adventure. Carry morning coffee out into the garden on fine days. Here you have a patio with outdoor seating and a lawned area. Parking for this holiday home is on the street, subject to availability.

We liked it. Well decorated and equipped. Getting in and out was difficult for the elderly so we would only recommend to younger folk.

When we arrived we were happy with the lounge, dining room, bathroom and bedrooms. It was when we went into the kitcken, the floor was sticky and, on checking the cupboards, they were not up to standard. On opening the freezer it was growing green mould making it unsafe. We felt this was not acceptable so shut the door and did not use it. The aboRead moreve cleanliness rating is for the kitcken only as the rest of the flat was good. I was given a small orchid costing 6 which I left at the flat. Hide
