Located just 1 mile from the centre of Inverness, this sweet single-storey cottage makes an excellent base for exploring the Scottish Highlands. You'll be just 5 miles from the banks of Loch Ness, the world-famous freshwater loch steeped in mystery and legend. This inviting stone home sleeps four guests across its two bedrooms, so works well for couples, friends or a small family.

Inside, the cottage combines a bright, modern finish with homely touches, with plenty of wooden accents and tasteful artwork on the walls. The accommodation is all laid out on one level for easy access throughout. From the hallway, it's easy to move between the spacious kitchen/diner, relaxing lounge and two stylish bedrooms.

The kitchen/diner is a light-filled space equipped with everything you'll need for home cooking, including a modern air fryer. A chunky wooden table sets the scene for mealtimes together, while doors open directly onto the garden to let in fresh Highland air on warmer days. The lounge is complete with soft grey sofas and a Smart TV for relaxed evenings in. At night, choose between the sumptuous king-size bedroom, which has a contemporary en-suite shower room, or the twin bedroom with two elegant iron beds. Guests in the twin can make use of the family shower room.

You'll have plenty of space for relaxing outside, too, with the courtyard garden presenting a peaceful spot for morning coffee or evening drinks. Parking for two cars is available on the gravel area at the front of the property. There are no steps at either entrance, making access straightforward.

A quiet welcoming cottage....spotlessly clean, very comfortable, spacious, well equipped and in a great location. Tomnahurich Cemetery/ Fairy Hill is at the end of the road. The hill is a rarity, an esker, a ridge of solid sand & gravel formed by glaciers long, long ago. It is steeped in local folklore & Celtic mythology. It is worth researchinRead moreg the stories before you visit. From the top of the hill there are spectacular views over Inverness, the Moray Firth & the Ness Valley. It is a special place...and just a short walk from Ballifeary Cottage. The Botanic Gardens and Caf are a short walk away too. Also worth a visit. Ballifeary Cottage is in a superb location. We loved everything about it & we would recommend it to everyone. Hide
