This impressive waterside lodge sits in a prime position on the banks of Loch Ness. The retreat welcomes two guests and is the ideal base for couples who love getting out and about in nature. As expected, the surrounding area is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, with walking and cycling trails in all directions, including the long-distance Great Glen Way. The vibrant village of Drumnadrochit, with its Loch Ness-themed boat trips, museums and attractions is 14 miles away.
The adults-only holiday retreat has a bright open-plan layout and boasts panoramic views of Loch Ness. The decor is sleek and contemporary, with artwork and soft furnishings taking inspiration from the local landscape and Scottish heritage.
The heart of the home is a welcoming lounge/kitchen/diner with a vaulted ceiling and French doors opening onto a private terrace. Unwind here on the plump sofa and admire the stunning views across the water, or snuggle up to watch a movie on the Smart TV. To the rear of the room is a stylish kitchen area where you can rustle up a delicious dinner for two, which you can share at the cute dining table. When it’s time for bed, retire to the elegant double bedroom for a good night’s sleep. Completing the accommodation is a refreshing shower room.
From the living area, French doors open onto an enclosed decked terrace overlooking Loch Ness. This is a beautiful spot for an al fresco supper on a summer’s evening or a sundowner after a day of exploring. Beyond the terrace is a private hot tub for reviving weary legs after a long walk, and there’s also an alternative seating area. Nearby, there is a secluded pebbled area where you can go paddleboarding or simply sit and take in the scenery. The lodge has private parking for one car.
