Set in an idyllic spot close to the beautiful coastline, this handsome stone-built house has been sympathetically updated to make a fantastic holiday retreat for families and groups of friends enjoying a relaxing break on the remote and serene Isle of Arran. Offering cosy accommodation for up to eight guests across five tastefully decorated bedrooms, the beautifully furnished hideaway has been elegantly decorated to provide a relaxing backdrop for eager walkers, nature spotters and climbers keen to explore the island's magical landscapes.

Featuring a welcoming wood burner, panelled doors, stained glass windows, an array of classic furniture and a lovely wraparound garden with glorious views, this characterful bolthole lies in a peaceful spot just half a mile from the thriving seaside village of Blackwaterfoot, with a sandy beach and a golf course both within easy reach.

Adorned with eye-catching stained glass windows, the bright and inviting entrance hall has ample space for leaving boots and coats before you head through to the lovely lounge. With a Smart TV, sumptuous seating and a roaring wood burner, this is an ideal space for everyone to settle back and unwind after a great day out. Heading back across the hallway, the formally designed and handsomely arranged dining room provides a fantastic setting for a family get-together, with a large central dining table and a range of classic furniture. A smaller dining table, perfect for snacks and breakfast, can be found in the fully equipped and thoughtfully arranged kitchen. The ground floor also has a spacious boot room, a separate WC and a handy utility room alongside an impressive, colourfully decorated bathroom.

Heading up the stairs, the first floor has a choice of five light, snug and relaxing bedrooms, all beautifully furnished, with a range of antiques and incredible views across the island. You will find a colourful king-size room, a charming double, two pretty singles and a delightful bunk bedroom. The accommodation also offers a refreshing first-floor shower room. Please note the first floor has some low sloping ceiling sand restricted head height.

Heading outside, the property enjoys extensive lawns at the back and front, offering plenty of space for younger guests to play and run around. To the rear, the enclosed garden has a bistro dining set and picnic table, perfect for enjoying a meal alfresco in the summer. Please note there is quite a steep slope to the front lawn. Beautiful and spacious house in a fabulous location. The interior is full of character with lots of interesting family memorabilia from the owners. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. A short walk into Blackwaterfoot to nice hotel and local shops and an excellent base from which to explore the island.
