Wellbeing is woven into every detail of this Scottish holiday retreat, a purpose-built lodge crafted from Scottish Douglas fir and decorated with charming nods to the area’s rich history and heritage. Designed to sleep four guests, this inviting property is ideal for couples, relatives or friends, with the added flexibility of a sofa bed in the spacious upstairs bedroom to accommodate up to two additional guests.

Finished to an exceptionally high standard, the lodge blends exposed beams, tartan accents and traditionally rustic features to create a warm and characterful interior. Large windows frame lovely views across the open fields of Kincardine and Mearns, with the Grampian Hills rising in the distance, constantly reminding you of your peaceful, rural setting.

Enjoy slow mornings and relaxed evenings in the open-plan living space on the ground floor, where the lounge, kitchen and dining area flow seamlessly together. A wood burner in one corner keeps the space cosy when temperatures drop, while the kitchen’s farmhouse-style breakfast table offers a welcoming spot for casual meals. Also on this floor are the first of two bedrooms – a charming double dressed in tartan décor – and a stylish, well-appointed shower room.

Upstairs, the tartan theme continues in the second bedroom. Set beneath the sloping eaves, this generous space comfortably accommodates two guests, or up to four when the sofa bed is in use. With ample storage and space to relax on the sofa and armchairs, it’s a flexible and inviting retreat.

Outside, the wrap-around garden provides plenty of space to enjoy the fresh air, featuring a decked terrace, a covered pergola and a raised patio with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. The private hot tub is perfect for unwinding on cool but dry evenings, and private parking for two cars completes the offering.

I dont normally leave reviews, however this property was excellent! Lorna was brilliant at making us feel welcome and giving us a quick tour of the lodge. The area is quiet and beautiful. The lodge itself is perfect for a family or in our case, two couple and our dogs. Couldnt find fault with it at all. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to gRead moreet up to a fantastic area of Scotland. Hide
