Beth's Bothy is one of several let's on this farm, and is in a group of three adjacent cabins. it's graded as 5star which is generous in my opinion, it was perfectly acceptable but not luxurious. There is a view of the bay from the driveway and the small private terrace with the hot tub at the back looks over a field, there are also two small chaiRead morers and a low table, but to eat outside you will need to use the picnic table on the shared frontage. The King size bed and shower room were both good. The village is nearly 2 miles away but offers a good range of local facilities Hide

Where to start this small but perfectly formed bothy is pretty as a picture. What a location! Over looking buttercup meadows with fluffy bunnies. Seriously though beautiful countryside. Great location for visiting: New Galloway, Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbright, New Abbey, Rockcliffe, Kippford and not forgetting further afield the Kelpies and Falkirk Read moreWheel. The village of Gatehouse of Fleet, is just a 30 minute walk away and well worth a visit. Very friendly. The hot tub most welcome after a long day and the bed so comfortable. Hide

Unfortunately, the very wet and windy weather did. not enhance our holiday. We were unable to use the hot tub. The lodge was modern and pleasant. It may have been some over-enthusiastic cleaning, but the temperature and function markings ion the cooker had been wiped off. I did speak to the owner about it and we could have done with some instructioRead morens for the dishwasher. That having been said, the accommodation was good. Hide

Great spot to explore surrounding area but you need a car. Walk through wood into village (a mile or so) was great for stretching legs of an evening to the pub for a drink or food. Hot tub great after being out all day.

Very relaxing break in lovely surroundings, cottage was very nice with comfortable bed and good facilities, the road up to the cottages could do with some repair work as numerous potholes, but overall enjoyed.
