This magnificent rural retreat enjoys a peaceful setting in the tiny hamlet of Ardarroch on the north-east shores of Loch Kishorn. Surrounded by the rugged beauty of Scotland’s West Coast Highlands, it’s the perfect place for family and friends to fully switch off and embrace nature. Enjoy woodland walks at the remote Reraig Forest (11 miles) or set off on a scenic bike ride through the mountain pass at Baelach na Ba (8 miles). After an action-packed day, sink into your bubbling hot tub under the stars.
The architect-designed holiday home has an alpine feel, with impressive wood panelling throughout and a collection of statement furniture and luxurious fixtures and fittings. The single-storey property has high ceilings and vast open spaces, yet feels warm and inviting thanks to a cosy wood burner and underfloor heating.
The central living area is a spacious, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with large picture windows framing leafy vistas and letting in plenty of natural light. The stylish lounge area has an array of sleek seating set around a roaring wood burner; relax here in the evenings, with a classic movie on the Smart TV. In the centre of the room is a large dining table for hosting memorable meals with family and friends, and there’s also a sociable bar area. An open doorway leads through to the country-style kitchen which has all the equipment needed to cater for a large group, along with an island with bar stools for perching with a glass of wine as you wait for dinner. The property has two further areas for socialising. There’s a games room/bar with a pool table, dartboard, and Smart TV, and there’s also a snug with a double sofa bed, boardgames, and another Smart TV with a PS4 console. A hallway takes you to the other side of the retreat, where four elegant bedrooms await, all with wood-panelled walls and sumptuous linens for a good night’s sleep. There are two super-king-size bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms, as well as a double bedroom and a twin. A luxurious family bathroom and a handy utility room round off the interior.
Outside, the enclosed garden boasts panoramic mountain views and has a choice of seating areas at both the front and rear of the property. You’ll also have a private hot tub to sink into after a long hike, and private parking is available for up to six cars.
