Located close to the shoreline of Rascarrel Bay, this single-storey lodge with a private hot tub is a stylish countryside escape for a couple. Set on a quiet stretch of coastline, with a village shop 2.5 miles away, and yet still within reach of a wide range of pretty towns and local attractions, it’s a rural retreat without being too cut-off.
Inside, the lodge is luxurious with plenty of space for you to feel comfortable and relaxed. Classic décor with colourful details gives the property a welcoming, homely atmosphere, while the vaulted ceilings and large windows let in lots of natural light and make the most of the breathtaking views.
Enter the property up a small set of steps. Shoes and coats can be left in the hallway, or store items that need a refresh after your adventures in the handy utility room for a wash later on. In the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, cook a dinner made with locally sourced produce and sit down for a romantic meal at the dining table set for two. Curl up together on the sofa to watch a film on the lounge’s TV/DVD, or head straight to bed and watch TV from the comfort of the duvet. The king-size bedroom has its own dressing room, so there is ample storage space for your belongings. Down the hall is the elegantly designed bathroom, where you can choose from a hot soak under the double-headed rain shower, or a bubble bath in the free-standing tub.
The hot tub is to the side of the property on the patio area. Change into the bathrobes provided, and step through the living area’s patio doors. Enjoy brunch outside while you admire the view, and in the evenings take a wine from the cooler and sit under the star ceiling mood lighting that covers the pretty decked area at the front of the lodge.
