This is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. The view from the balcony was lovely and so nice to relax in the hot tub at night. It is in a great location for going to the beaches or forest within in a 30 minute drive if that, there is also some nice places in the town to eat.

easy booking process, owner quick response when I messaged before arrival re beds set up. Great accommodation, modern, clean and v warm. Beautiful view from the living room and huge bifold doors overlooking a park, blossom trees and the loch. We initially struggled with the front door key, was trying to remove it vertically instead of horizontally.Read more Comfy beds, good amount of bedroom storage, bathrooms were spotless, plenty of towels, shower gel, shampoo. Kitchen contained all the crockery, appliances, utensils you need, even a Ninja airfryer. The generous welcome hamper was fabulous, full of local goodies & bread/milk. We were lucky to have lots of April sun so made use of the balcony, our dog enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the park activities. The High St is less than 5min walk with lots of cafes, food, charity & gift shops. We recommend these dog friendly places The Kings Arms (3min walk), very friendly welcome, small but very good menu, food was excellent (I recommend sea bass), theres a courtyard for when its warm. Streetlights cafe, Moores fish & chips (for light eaters choose wee fish & chips) and Sambucca restaurant for a special occasion. We walked to Threave Gardens (approx 20min) then did the circular nature walk. We drove to the coast, 20min to SandyHills beach which was lovely to explore the smugglers coves and let the dog have a run then to Kippford, quiet but nice to sit outside The Mariner pub and watch the boats. We went to Dhoon Beach (25min) very rocky, seaweedy with a metal detector (found tin foil and 10p) then to Kircudbright, had lunch at Feast cafe they have a quirky menu. All the beach car parks had toilets and free parking (except SandyHills 6). Would recommend this property and would stay again. Hide
