This quintessential Scottish property  is an easy walk to the atmospheric shores of Loch Morie. It belongs to the stunning 19,000-acre Kildermorie Estate, an area of rugged hills, moorland, lochs and river, providing the perfect Highland getaway for a couple or young family.

The cottage has been lovingly decorated in keeping with its surroundings. It retains gorgeous period features, is snug with pretty furnishings and antiques, and the rooms are airy and light-filled, bringing the wide, sweeping atmosphere of the landscape in.

Step into the cottage to discover the delightful living space, a calm, tranquil area with snug sofas for restful evenings discussing the day’s adventures. There’s even a bespoke, French-made sofa which converts into a set of bunk beds to accommodate young children. The handy country kitchen is where you’ll create family meals to satisfy weary hikers, and you can head through into the pretty dining room to enjoy them, a peaceful space with  light pouring through from windows at the front and back of the house.

The April Cottage is absolutely fantastic. The setting is just absolutely amazing, be sure to hike or drive the road up as far as it goes in the estate. Wonderful for anyone who wants to be away from the world and in nature. Lot's of off the track walking to do, we loved the rowing boat in the smaller loch that you have to take a small hike to fromRead more hut 3. Magda was amazing, truly wonderful to our toddler, and so kind and hospitable to us! Would definitely stay again. Hide
