Set into the hillside and surrounded by the dramatic landscape of Beinn Mhor, South Uist, which looms overhead and with views across to the serene waters of Loch Eck, this is the ideal retreat for those wishing to reconnect with the great outdoors for an ‘unplugged’ break. This bonnie wood cabin sleeps up to four guests and so is perfectly suited to couples travelling together or a small family, perhaps looking to get away from the hubbub of day-to-day life.

Step across the deck, through patio doors and into the open-plan living space, which is cosy and inviting, housing a large sofa centred around the smart TV, and a well-equipped kitchen and dining space. Invite the outdoors in by throwing open the patio doors so you can make the most of the spectacular views. From here, you’ll find two bedrooms; a spacious double room with an infrared sauna space attached, and an attractive twin room. There is also a spacious bathroom with a spa-style bath; it offers the perfect space to relax and soak aching muscles after a day spent bagging Munros.

Outside, the enclosed deck area provides plenty of seating, so you can sit back and breathe in the fresh mountain air and enjoy the incredible views. There is also a sunken hot tub, which can be enjoyed at an additional cost.

This cottage is in a superb location with beautiful views, plenty of birds and good access to nearby trails and the loch. The hot tub is very nice and the cottage has nearly everything you need. We look forward to coming again and enjoying the peace and quiet, as well as the starry night sky.

The lodge is ideally sited just off Loch Eck, it's peaceful tranquil and am sure there is some sort of healing there. Have never felt so relaxed and rejuvenated as much before, we had a week holiday only wish I'd booked 2 weeks. Scotland is beautiful loved it

A cottage with a great view, situated high up at the edge of a small cluster of lodges. The kitchen and bathroom are good, the crockery, pots and pans could use a bit of an update. A great starting place to get to know the area, great walks and the Coylet Inn is a great place to eat.

The lodge was in a fantastic location with beautiful views however the beds were not fit for purpose at all. Mattress topper looked very old and didn't fit the bed either. The actual mattress dipped significantly in the middle so much so my husband had to sleep in the living room.

Great location. Lots of places to see around and wonderful nature in the area. The Argyll Lodge is at the top of the hill with an amazing view at your doorstep and from the hot tub as well. The lodge is comfy and cosy, with all equipment and devices requried for a short stay. I would definitely recommend and I would come back with no hesitation!
