Enjoying a quiet position on a 4000-acre traditional farm, this spacious four-bedroom cottage is the perfect getaway for families seeking to enjoy the relaxed surroundings of the scenic and unspoilt west highland glen. Spend your days discovering the long hill walks from the doorstep, cycling forest tracks or strolling the beautiful Angus’ Garden adjacent to the cottage. Despite its secluded location; shops, tearoom and welcoming pub are less than 3 miles away in Taynuilt village.

Dating back between 200 and 300 years, your holiday home is the original part of the now extended farmhouse and is full of character and charm. With neutral tones and period details complementing the surrounding natural environment and windows looking out onto the pretty cottage garden, this is the perfect place to relax and forget the pressures of modern life.

Forming part of the main farmhouse, step through your private entrance into the spacious hall where there is plenty of room to leave walking boots and wellies. Conjure up delicious family meals in the spacious farmhouse kitchen to share at the large table overlooking the gardens. Spend cosy evenings in the sitting room playing board games in front of the open fire or relaxing in the comfortable sofas with a glass of your favourite tipple.

Take the traditional steep farmhouse stairs to the first floor where there are four well-appointed bedrooms, two doubles and two singles, all with rustic farmhouse-style furniture and decorated in soothing tones. A bathroom and shower room can also be found on this floor.

A door leads from the sitting room into your private enclosed garden. During summer months, stroll into the garden to listen to the call of the garden birds and enjoy the sunshine.

We had a wonderful stay at Josephines wing. The cottage is really homely and comfortable and the host made us feel very welcome. The cottage is clean, very well equipped and had lots of space for our family of 6. The views are stunning, we saw red squirrels , a barn owl and even caught a glimpse of a pine marten in the garden. Angus Gardens whicRead moreh are just opposite the property are beautiful, very tranquil, well worth a visit. A great location if visiting West Scotland by car. Highly Recommend. Hide

Stunning location, just a little off the beaten track. Well equipped, spacious and with comfortable beds. The immediate gardens and Anguss Garden beyond, add to the overall appeal. While decor is a little dated, it gives a homely, welcome feel (def not the sterile, coldness of the ultramodern offerings). Fabulous, spacious cottage in a great location. Nice and remote with stunning views of the surrounding hills, yet not too far down to the local village store and Oban barely a 30minute drive away. Extremely well equipped kitchen and we really felt at home.
