This handsome period home with beautiful lawned gardens surrounded by woodland offers an idyllic setting for family gatherings in the heart of the Highland village of Nethybridge. Sleeping 19 guests across nine bedrooms, there’s plenty of space for everyone to relax and celebrate special occasions. The surrounding region offers wonderful outdoor pursuits and sports including great walks, cycle trails, fishing, golf, and skiing.

On arrival, take three steps up to the entrance of this traditional style property which oozes sophistication and traditional country style with beautiful antiques including desk bureaus, mirrored chest of drawers, and period feature fireplaces in bedrooms, plus textured furnishings, wood furniture, a book study, and elegant fittings creating a stately yet cosy ambience throughout.

The living room is split into two areas - a TV snug and a piano drawing room, giving bairns and grown-ups their own space to enjoy in the evenings. Musical guests can play favourite renditions on the vintage piano to the warmth of an open fire, while the snug offers contemporary touches with an iPod dock, TV with FreeSat and radio to entertain guests in all weathers. You’ll find the kitchen cosy thought well-equipped with ample workspace to rustle up family meals on the Aga and electrical double oven for your hungry brood to enjoy in the dining room with French windows and garden views. If your flock are visiting in winter, they’ll love the conservatory which is flooded with sunlight in all seasons, and has a cosy wood burner to keep toes toasty on cooler days. There’s also two handy WC’s on this floor.

The upstairs bedrooms are incredibly comfortable with beautiful period features and antiques such as vintage chests, blanket boxes and period feature fireplaces, great for your night’s rest before grand family celebrations. Find one king-size bedroom, one double bedroom, two twin bedrooms, and a single bedroom, plus two family bathrooms on the first floor.

On the second floor, you’ll find further bedrooms to ensure comfort for all your guests, including one king-size, one family room (with a double, single and pull-out bed), and one double. There are also two family bathrooms on this floor.

Challenge fellow guests to a game of croquet on the rear lawn, set in spacious woodland gardens (be mindful of wee bairns near the garden pond). On dreich days, try table tennis and darts, or borrow the property’s golf clubs for games next door.
