Lying close to Inverness (12.5 miles), the capital of the Highlands, as well as the lovely market town of Dingwall (3.5 miles), this traditional farm cottage is wonderfully located for exploring the area, with walks and cycle routes from the doorstep. It boasts far-reaching views across attractive farmland towards Ben Wyvis, Dingwall and Cromarty Firth, with a peaceful and secluded feel to the property. Sleeping up to four, it’s ideal for a family farm holiday or perhaps a romantic break in the country.

Many of the cottage’s original features have been maintained, including the tongue and groove lined walls which add to the property’s charm. Throughout it has been decorated in a welcoming and cosy country-style that will make you feel instantly at home.

Step into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner of this single-storey property, where a roaring wood burner welcomes you. Relax here after a day exploring this picturesque area of Scotland, putting your feet up on the comfortable sofas as you watch TV, read a book, or plan tomorrow’s exploration with your loved ones. Cook up a storm in the fully-equipped kitchen and dine together around the wooden dining table which you’ll find tucked in a corner. Once you’re ready to retire for the night, drift off to sleep in one of the two light and airy bedrooms, with one double and one twin. There is also a bathroom with a shower over the bath. Despite its remote location, you will find an array of mod-cons to use at your leisure, with a TV, stereo and Wi-Fi access.

The cottage was great. Unfortunately bulders were in renovating the adjoining cottage. They arrived 8.15 am and left at 3.30 pm, vans were parked outside our bedroom window. There was a pile of builders' rubbish in the front, which we did not expect to see on our arrival, and did not give us a good impression. The company had not forewarned us abouRead moret this. Surely the owner/cleaner/company would have been aware of this and would have informed us. The contact number was not the owner, we didn't know who she was, but she did respond to calls and texts. After we alered her at the end of our stay to the above, she apologised for the disruption, saying she thought the builders would have been finished by the time we arrived! We were left feeling we weren't important. Such a shame as the cottage and location were really lovely. Hide

This was the perfect cozy cottage for our family of 4 to spend the week in the Highlands. It was well equipped and well cared for. We enjoyed watching the cows and sheep graze in the fields.
