This superb, alpine-style lodge is situated in a secluded woodland close to the beautiful Solway Firth. Whether you are a group of eight friends who just want to hang out together, or looking to get back to nature, this is the perfect retreat.

Set in an elevated position, this detached lodge has an open-plan layout with floor-to-ceiling windows flooding the space with light. It has an alpine feel with wood panelled walls, cosy interiors, and a sauna in one of the bathrooms. This property's eco credentials include a ground source heat pump, heat recovery ventilation, rainwater harvesting, solar panels, underfloor heating and triple glazing, supporting the owner with the aim of reducing their carbon footprint. Outside is a superb wraparound decked area offering stunning views across to the estuary, you can spend evenings dining alfresco together and stargazing.

Store your walking gear in the hall and head into the open-plan living space. Set beneath a vaulted ceiling and with large picture windows making the best of the coastal views, is the lounge space. Get cosy on the comfortable sofas and if you can tear your eyes away from the views, flick on the Smart TV to catch up on your favourite shows. The contemporary kitchen/diner has everything you need to cook up culinary delights. Centred around an island, there is plenty of space to cook, eat and socialise together. Two sumptuous king-size bedrooms are located on the ground floor, both with en-suite bathrooms.

The cottage was perfect for our family and we had everything we needed. It was in a very quiet location with fantastic views over the river. We loved the wildlife and looking at the stars at night. We enjoyed the pub and the ice cream in Kippford and lots of lovely walks in the area. We would recommend the Bainloch deer safari, Wigtown, Threave HouRead morese and Gardens and Kirkcudbright for days out. Thank you for a great holiday and hopefully we will visit again soon. Hide

A lovely house in a quiet and beautiful location. The kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed and we appreciated the welcome hamper. Each comfortable bedroom had its own large bathroom and enough storage space. Large kitchen diner and living room look out over the countryside and nearby river. Very light and spacious. Lots of gamesRead more provided plus table football. It was a bit cold to sit on the balcony but we did try and imagined that it would be wonderful on a warm day. It was a real privilege to stay at Sea Glass Lodge as a beautiful home with fantastic linen and good quality towels This will be our only holiday this year as we saved hard to afford but worth every penny We have 2 rescue dogs and great to find quality accommodation that allows dogs The lodge is well placed and has an elevated position to take advaRead morentage of the fabulous views, also great for star gazing with very little light pollution I like to cook oven and hob quality which is appreciated Hide

Beautiful lodge in an idyllic location. Everything we needed for a week away with friends and dogs. A well equipped kitchen. Handwash in every bathroom. A fabulous welcome pack with biscuits, tea bags, coffee pods, prosecco! A small supply of dishwasher tablets, washing up equipment and toilet rolls. The 2 nearest pubs in Kippford were closed, one Read moreopening again in march, they other unfortunately closed indefinitely. Can recommend The King's Arms in Dalbeattie, excellent food. Hide

Absolutely beautiful lodge! We literally had everything we could need for the full duration of our stay. The lodge is so spacious, yet never felt cold. So cosy! The owner is lovely, so helpful. The whole place was spotlessly clean. Location is lovely, so quiet and peaceful.

A beautiful Scandinavian style lodge in the picturesque area outside of Kippford. The house was perfectly set up for the two families of four that enjoyed a fun and scenic Hogmanay period. Lovely 7 day stay over the Christmas period with family we had fabulous weather all week . Ellie had left us a lovely hamper of goodies and fresh flowers which was a lovely surprise. The lodge is beautiful . It was well equipped and we managed to cook Christmas dinner with the equipment provided no problem. This lodge is easily the best place me and my family have visited its just wonderful in every way. The weather wasnt great but still plenty to do in and around the area. Lovely comfortable and spacious lodge with amazing views. The location is very peaceful, perfect for relaxing with plenty of great places for dog walks in the area. Deer regularly visit outside the lodge so dog owners be vigilant at night!

Extremely clean comfortable and well equipped property. We loved the location and had a wonderful time over two weeks at Kippford. Lovely walks from the door and also just a short drive away. I got a personal best flights climbed walking up and down the hill to the village but the pub, cafe and crabbing with my grandson made it worth the trip.

This house is beautifully presented. The views are lovely and the location ideal. It is set in a very quiet area of the village but only a reasonable walk away from village centre. Stayed at Seaglass for my 70 th birthday in November with adult children and their partners. It is a beautiful property on a park overlooking the river Urr. Gorgeous views, constantly changing landscape and fabulous sunsets. We were lucky with weather but the lodge was so nice we wouldnt have minded spending a day inside. The property is in a fantastic location overlooking the river. Very handy for local walks and good food to be had at the Anchor. The tea room in Kippford has some lovely cakes. We had some lovely weather and sat outside till late in the evening with a beautiful sunset.

Sea Glass Lodge has all the wow factor, immaculately clean and the layout of the house worked perfectly for 3 generations. The sound system throughout the Lodge was a massive hit with all ages and we enjoyed our evenings socialising in the open plan downstairs.
