The Whins is a beautiful house with amazing sea views. We thoroughly loved our stay there. We had a lovely stay at the Whins, the property is very spacious, well kept and clean. The weather, though very windy was blue skies most days and we walked the coastal paths in both directions with great views and a lovely beach not far away along the cliff path to the north. Knockinaam Lodge is definitely worth a visit, we had lunch there aftRead moreer our coastal path walk to the south, past the ruins of Dunskey Castle. The Crown Inn in the harbour was our go to for evening meals which were always delicious and very good price wise. We also ate in the golf club (only a few yards uphill from the Whins) where the food was very good and the staff were great. One noticeable point about the village and the area in general was the friendliness of everyone we met. Well worth visiting Portpatrick. Hide
