Escape to The Highlands at this beautiful cottage in Wick, Caithness. This fabulous family home is ideal for those looking for a mixture of coastal and countryside adventures. Sleeping eight in four plush bedrooms, it is perfect for groups of friends and families alongside four of their canine companions. After long days exploring the Highland countryside, enjoy a sumptuous soak in the hot tub, unwind in the pretty garden or warm through with a lovely lay down in front of the wood burner.

Whilst this property has every modern appliance you should need, its interiors maintain a characterful feel thanks to the dark woods, tartan carpets and traditional pictures throughout. The cleverly designed layout maximises privacy, with two of the bedrooms located on the ground floor, and should you want to come back together, the home's social spaces boast cosiness and style for long-lasting comfort.

Step into this wonderful home and slip off waterproofs and walking boots before heading into the stylish lounge. This enticing space offers guests the chance to put their feet up in front of the inviting wood burner, stream their favourite film on the TV or simply catch up with loved ones with a glass of something fizzy.

Continue down the hall to discover the luxury fitted kitchen. This chef's dream is kitted out with all the necessary equipment needed to produce mouthwatering meals using the freshly caught seafood you bought during the day. Share this meal around the adjoining table, and after you've cleared away, use the space to play some board games provided in the cottage. Continuing along the ground floor are two of the four bedrooms in the property, with a shared shower room and a useful utility space for running through damp towels in the washing machine and dryer.

Heading upstairs, guests will find two more elegantly dressed bedrooms, both of which have their own en-suite facilities to avoid those morning queues. Settle in for a good night's sleep and wake up refreshed and ready to explore your surroundings.

Outside, your garden space has a lovely area to sit out while you're sipping your morning coffee and the children run around the lawn. Be sure to dine alfresco throughout the summer months or soak in your hot tub while breathing in the fresh Scottish air. It also has a storage unit for keeping your bikes, golf clubs and other sporting equipment and parking for three cars.

This is a lovely, fully equipped property in an excellent location to explore Caithness. The owners maintain the property to a very high standard and it added to the enjoyment of our stay. The welcome basket of bread, milk and a bottle of Prosecco was very much appreciated. I would highly recommend this holiday home.

We had a wonderful time in your beautiful cottage. Above all, we enjoyed the jacuzzi. From the street it was a bit noisy, especially if you want to sleep with the window open. Otherwise, its a very good base for excursions in the surrounding area. Shops are within walking distance, and there are good options for eating out or getting takeaway.
