With fantastic trails on your doorstep, it’s the perfect base for a couple or solo traveller looking to explore the dramatic landscape on foot, mountain bike, or by car. Ideally placed for those who want tranquillity, the property is also conveniently located within walking distance of the local pub (0.5 miles).

The living area and bedroom are located in one splendid self-contained unit. Light and breezy, the furnishings are pleasant, and homely touches include framed prints, ambient lighting, and colourful rugs on the wood-panelled floor. It’s a pleasant place to kick back, with a double bed overlooking the countryside views.

After a day exploring, take it easy in the lounge with its stylish sofa, watch a film on the Smart TV or curl up with a book. The well-equipped kitchen overlooks the lounge so you can enjoy conversation with your partner while preparing meals. A dining table, seating four people, is perfect for creating memorable meals, with views through the window of Carbisdale Castle. Lovely place to stay nice and warm plenty of hot water good shower comfortable bed everything you need. It is a good base to have as Dornoch and Lairg not that far away and you look out on to Carbisdale castle when you are having your breakfast.

Fabulous Bothy to stay at. We had a great week. Peter is a welcoming host. Dogs loved it. Bothy well equipped. Happy to return and recommend.
