Set against a backdrop of rolling mountains and open skies, this cosy white-washed cottage is a tranquil retreat for families seeking an escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Just a short walk from the enchanting hills and lochans of Fairy Glen, spend the day exploring its mystical landscape. Rugged mountain walks, stunning shoreline strolls and ancient ruins are within easy reach of this secluded cottage, and for days when civilisation calls, shops and pubs are less than 2 miles away.

Approached down a quiet lane, this compact cottage has a bright and contemporary feel, decorated in muted tones with bright accents of colour. Windows look out onto open countryside and rolling hills, offering ever-changing vistas as the light plays across the landscape.

Entering into the cottage, the cosy sitting room is a warm and inviting space with plump sofa and comfortable chairs. On cooler evenings, light the open fire and unwind in its gentle warmth. Prepare yourself a delicious meal of local produce in the well-equipped galley kitchen with views across the countryside from the glazed door. When it’s time to retire to bed, the master king-size bedroom can be found off the hallway and the family bathroom is on this level also.

Take the stairs to the first-floor landing which has been made into a snug/book corner for younger guests to curl up with a magical story before heading into their beds. The two single bedrooms are charming with sloping ceilings and Velux windows filling the rooms with natural light.

Outside, sit with your morning coffee and watch the birds swooping overhead or fire up the BBQ for a sociable meal late into the evening, watching the colours changing on the dramatic landscape.

We loved our stay in the cottage, the directions to get there were excellent and the location was beautiful. Once we'd settled in we felt very at home there and really we didn't want to leave! We will probably be back again!

Cottage in a lovely location for exploring the North of skye. It's right down the road from the fairy Glen. The cottage itself is lovely and very homey. The dark skies above us on a clear night were incredible. Building a fire and staying cosy in the evenings was brilliant. Kitchen facilities cover all the basics and was lovely and clean. Ideal for 2 people. Well equipped and comfortable - helpful to have a washing machine, and heated rail in the bathroom. A lovely location - beautifully quiet and peaceful at night. Stunning skies and light all around. We would certainly consider going back again.

A cosy cottage, situated up a steep hill. The Uig hotel food ( at the bottom of the hill) is lovely. Be aware a game keeper is at work in the glen.

Absolutely STUNNING! Excellent cottage - although none of the downstairs doors quite seem to fit their frames - looking out over the glen. We saw golden Eagles every day, frequently two together and even three on a couple of days (mated pair with ne of last years chicks I assume). Lovely little cottage, right by the stunning Fairy Glen (less than a 5 minute walk away). The fire was very welcome in the freezing temperatures, and it was a great place to further explore the beautiful Isle of Skye

The house was not clean everywhere. We missed some instructions how to create hot water in the kitchen or how the shower works. In The Netherlands, were we come from, it al works differently.
