Prepare romantic meals for two in the chic modern kitchen, where you will find ample storage and surface space and access to the patio. The kitchen also contains a washing machine and tumble dryer should you wish to do laundry while away. Dine with a view in the lounge/diner, before hunkering down on the inviting sofa for an evening of TV or films with your loved one. Or, climb the stairs to the delightful bedroom to watch TV from the comfort of the super king-size bed. Also upstairs is an en-suite bathroom, perfect for soothing aching muscles after a long day on foot.

Superbly equipped warm cottage with a really comfy bed in a lovely quiet location in easy walking distance of all that Kirkwall has to offer. Supermarkets very close but we wished we had found William Shearers earlier in our week - 4 mins walk and full of high quality food stuffs and also hardware! The house is in a great location with parking if needed. We didnt use the parking as our car was a bit too big but we used the long term parking about 3 minutes walk away, which worked well. It is close to buses and/or ferries if you want to move around without a car. House is very well equipped and looked recently decorated. Owner/manager was veRead morery responsive to an issue we had which was sorted immediately even though it was a Sunday. Id recommend this property and would be happy to stay there again. Hide

Nice and cosy cottage for two, with everything you need to feel at home on holiday. Well equipped kitchen with all the appliances you might need. Ideal accommodation for one/two people. Conveniently located within walking distance of town centre. Washing machine and tumble dryer are useful. Large comfortable bed and good storage space for clothes.

The property was excellent. Very well equipped and in an ideal location in Kirkwall. Communication with owner was great. Would definitely recommend the property for anyone looking to explore Orkney.

There is everything you need. The location is perfect, 5 min walk to supermarkets (Lidl, Tesco, coop). 5 min walk into Kirkwall centre for shops, bars and restaurants. The cottage was spotless and very comfortable. I was even able to park my Hyundai Tucson on the driveway. We would recommend Lucano, 21, the Merkister, to eat, the Happy Haddock for Read morefish and chips takeout, the Royal Oak for drinks and 22 if you like cocktails and nice wine. Hide

This cottage is ideally situated in the lovely town of Kirkwall close to buses that go to many places on the mainland. The cottage is exceptionally comfortable with great facilities and personal touches. It is in a quiet location although only a 5 minute walk to all the local amenities and supermarkets. We found the cottage ideal for our holiday - location, furniture and furnishings, kitchen equipment and a thoughtful supply of kitchen consumables including dishwasher and washing machine tablets. Just like home and really appreciated as my wife has a garlic allergy, so we mainly ate in the cottage. We loved the house. It was so comfortable. The toilet upstairs, the kitchen. Everything. Parking was fine. Eating in a restaurant was not easy. Everything was full. We recommend the Ayre hotel for the best food.

We had a lovely stay at Neuketineuks which is a warm comfortable property that is very well equipped. It is very well situated for visiting all parts of Orkney Mainland and walking into Kirkwall. Although close to a main road it was a relatively quiet place and we were not bothered by traffic or any other noise.
