The bustling town of Inverurie is 13.5 miles away and has a great range of independent shops and hosts outdoor markets and popular events throughout the year. From here, you can hop on the train to take a day trip into Aberdeen. Soak up the local history at one of the many National Trust for Scotland sites in the region, including nearby Haddo House (11 miles) or Fyvie Castle (4 miles). For keen walkers, the Bennachie Hills (20 miles) are a must-visit destination, where you can enjoy panoramic views from the distinctive granite peaks.
