Rest and recharge with family and friends in this beautiful two-bedroom holiday home just outside the village of Rothienorman in Aberdeenshire. The property is in the heart of Scotland’s malt whisky country, and you can visit distilleries at Glendronach or Glen Garioch during your stay. You’ll also be perfectly placed for trips to the sandy beaches of the Moray Coast (22 miles).

The former farm building has been transformed into a stunning holiday home with contemporary decor and thoughtful touches throughout. Step through the colourful front door and head straight to the spacious lounge, where you’ll find a sumptuous L-shaped sofa, a Smart TV, and a roaring wood burner. In summer months, throw open the patio doors for indoor/outdoor living. The separate kitchen/diner has everything needed to prepare hearty feasts for the group, which you can share at the stylish dining table. Also on the ground floor is an inviting double bedroom and a refreshing shower room. Upstairs, a second double bedroom awaits, nestled under a sloping ceiling in the eaves. This room also has two armchairs that can be made up as two single beds on request. Outside, dine alfresco in the enclosed patio garden. Private parking is available for two cars.

The bustling town of Inverurie is 13.5 miles away and has a great range of independent shops and hosts outdoor markets and popular events throughout the year. From here, you can hop on the train to take a day trip into Aberdeen. Soak up the local history at one of the many National Trust for Scotland sites in the region, including nearby Haddo House (11 miles) or Fyvie Castle (4 miles). For keen walkers, the Bennachie Hills (20 miles) are a must-visit destination, where you can enjoy panoramic views from the distinctive granite peaks.
