Escape the daily grind with this romantic retreat overlooking Loch Ewe. Situated in the grounds of Pool House, this idyllic refuge is the perfect base to enjoy walking, cycling, fishing, golf and watersports. Home to beautiful mountains, hills, lochs and waterfalls, the road to this property is listed as one of the top ten most scenic drives in the world. Once here, the tastefully decorated boathouse offers spacious and open-plan accommodation complete with a cosy wood burner, mood lighting and Sky TV, should you be able to draw your attention away from the spectacular waterside view.

Perfect for romantic getaways, the accommodation is cosy and welcoming, complete with underfloor heating, a wood burner and delightful king-size bed set into an inviting alcove. Writers retreat is a charming place to stay, cosy, comfortable and private with a beautiful outlook over Loch Ewe. It was fun having the separate caravan for meals and dining and was well equipped, considering its size. Inverewe gardens and estate are a short walk away. We would highly recommend Writers Retreat..

I absolutely loved my stay at The Writer's Cottage, Pool House, Poolewe. It is my second visit and I enjoyed it as much as the first stay. During my stay, I saw a deer, 4 wild ponies, 2 otters swimming and a daily visit by a Heron. I also was treated to an early morning tap on the window by a Great Tit and a Chaffinch. It is absolutely beautiful.

A lovely location with everything needed for a relaxing quiet break. The separate kitchen cabin was quirky and well equipped. The hot tub was great.
