If you’re feeling energetic, set off for a spot of ‘Munro bagging’ – you can access the famous North Coast 500 route nearby. In the evening, come home to your cottage to fire up the wood burner and watch the light fade across the bay.
Step through the entrance vestibule into the bright and cheerful lounge/diner – a stylish space with a welcoming wood burner and a sociable dining area with traditional pew-style seating. Head to the stylish kitchen and cook up the catch of the day and enjoy a casual meal at the dining table. After dinner, relax in the cottage’s second lounge – a great feature for multi-generational groups – where you’ll find a Smart TV and another wood burner. When the day is done, head upstairs and you’ll discover two beautifully-styled bedrooms - a master king-size and a lovely twin - each with gently sloping ceilings. A bright bathroom with a glamorous free-standing bath and separate shower completes the interior layout. In the morning, step outside into the enclosed front patio and sip your morning coffee while you take in the spectacular bay views.
Head into Gairloch (1 mile) to browse the Gairloch Heritage Museum, take a stroll along Gairloch Beach, or tee off at Gairloch Golf Club. Further afield, spot red squirrels, red deer, seals, otters and golden eagles at the National Trust’s fabulous Inverewe Garden (7 miles).
