Right on the shore of Loch Assynt, you can access the shingle beach right from the garden. The mountain range of Quinag towers over the cottage, so you can find several hiking routes right from the doorstep. Visit the cascading Allt Chranaidh Waterfall (10 miles) or the beautiful sandy shores and crystal-clear waters at Achmelvich Bay (9 miles). The quaint village of Lochniver (7 miles) has a few shops and pubs where you can grab a bite to eat before or after exploring.
