Set on the wild and remote Tarbat Peninsula, the surrounding area is a paradise for keen walkers, with popular routes taking in the Tarbat Ness headland and its iconic lighthouse. You can also enjoy waterside strolls along the village’s sandy beach, which boasts mountain views and is renowned for its spectacular sunsets. From the village, take a day trip to the historic burgh of Tain (9.5 miles), home of the world-famous Glenmorangie Distillery, or spend a relaxing afternoon pottering amongst the boutiques and galleries in the pretty coastal town of Dornoch (19 miles).
The first-floor flat is reached via a flight of stairs from the shared garden. From the entrance hall, head through to the light and airy lounge/kitchen/diner, which is decorated in delicate coastal hues and features beautiful wooden furniture and an array of homely touches. Original panelled windows frame tranquil views across the harbour and the Dornoch Firth. The sleek kitchen area is equipped with everything needed to whip up a tasty dinner for two, which you can share at the cute dining table. After dinner, get cosy in the lounge area to read a book or watch a classic film on the Smart TV. When day turns to night, head along the corridor to the zip-and-link super-king-size bedroom for a well-earned rest. Completing the apartment is a contemporary shower room.
Outside, guests are welcome to sit in the shared garden. You can also enjoy relaxing walks around the harbour and along the beach directly from the property. The holiday home has private parking.
