This elegantly designed Scandinavian-style house is set in the pretty little seaside hamlet of Lonemore. Situated on Scotland’s wild and remote west coast, the property commands spectacular panoramic views over the surrounding sea and mountains. There is a vast selection of opportunities for you to enjoy including horse riding, cycling, walking, kayaking, and you can even bag yourself a Munro whilst you’re here. This is a fantastic place to be based for those wishing to explore some of the most scenic areas of West Scotland’s unspoilt, sandy beaches and coastline.

Situated over three floors, this impressive detached house has been designed with a Nordic style using timber and glass as a stylish feature throughout.

On the ground floor, there is a spacious open-plan living area with floor-to-ceiling windows so that you can enjoy the fantastic sea and island views from the comfort of the sofa. There is also a king-size bedroom on this floor. The kitchen is well-equipped with a separate utility area and steps leading down to the dining area - a perfect space to enjoy socialising with family. French doors take you out onto the decking if you would prefer to dine alfresco.

A few more steps down lead you to a beautiful lounge area with wood burner and an impressive timber and glass frontage with views out over the surrounding mountains. As you walk back down the hallway, there is a second sitting room with a stunning cathedral-style window and views out over the sea. Also on this level, there is one king-size bedroom, one twin bedroom and one single bedroom. The family bathroom is spacious with a bath and separate shower.

The property benefits from a lovely enclosed lawn garden with decking, seating and BBQ. With sea and mountain views, you can sit here for hours on end just relaxing and reading a book. There is off-street parking for up to four cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The hamlet of Lonemore lies within the parish of Gairloch, which overlooks Loch Gairloch on Scotland's remote west coast. This picturesque village offers an array of breathtaking scenery and some of the most spectacular coastline and beaches in the Highlands. Big Sand Beach (3 miles) is a beautiful sandy beach sheltered by sand dunes and mountains, the idyllic spot for some relaxation time with family.

Gairloch's coastline is part of the Hebridean 'Whale Trail' and is one of the hotspots for sighting whales, dolphins, porpoise and seals. Its attractive fishing harbour is bustling with life, where you can take a whale watching tour on a fast rib or a glass-bottom boat. There is a selection of shops selling local gifts and produce, cafes, restaurants, a Heritage Museum, leisure centre and a golf course with fantastic sea views.

Badachro (7 miles) is a pretty, former fishing village south of Gairloch and offers a variety of things to do and see. You could take a tour around its famous distillery that uses the purest of Highland waters and local wild botanicals, to create its small-batch artisan gin. Or explore the village and surrounding area by foot with some lovely walks on offer, and then finish is the Badachro Inn for some lunch and refreshments.

Fabulous property that had everything we needed for a wonderful Christmas break. The views are breathtaking and star gazing at night was awesome. The house was spotless, warm and welcoming. The enclosed garden was great for the dog who loved exploring the beaches and walks nearby.
