Watching over the River Ness sits this cosy little house, only a short distance from the heart of the city centre. Located in a quiet residential area of the city, this property provides a homely base to retreat to after treading the pavements of the city. Easily accessible by train and bus means its convenient location provides a variety of opportunities to find out what Inverness and the surrounding areas have to offer.

The River Ness flows right past the property which you can follow into the capital to explore the vast selection of restaurants, bars, shops, galleries and museums. Inverness is a vibrant and exciting city to visit and within walking distance. So much is on your doorstep during your stay here that you might find there is little need for a car to take you anywhere.

Arranged all on one level this delightful little house has a very welcoming feel to it, inviting you in to relax and make it your own. The lounge/dining room is spacious and comfortable with a door leading to the separate kitchen. The double bedroom is light and fresh and the family bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC.

The property has a wonderful waterside location where guests can sit and watch the bustling goings on, up and down the River Ness. It also has a patio area with furniture, for guests to be able to sit outside and enjoy some al fresco dining whilst discussing what their tomorrow may bring.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Inverness is a wonderfully cosmopolitan city, steeped in history and culture with the beautiful and magical Highlands right on its doorstep. Explore galleries, art exhibitions, food markets, shopping malls and much more. Take in all the sights the city has to offer but Inverness Castle and the impressive St Andrew's Cathedral are a definite must-see.

Situated on the River Ness means you are not far from the world famous Loch Ness (8 miles). This magical and mysterious stretch of water is probably most famous for its myths and tales of a monster that lurks beneath the surface, protecting its waters. Aside from that, Loch Ness is a truly beautiful part of Scotland with scenery that is sure to take your breath away. Take a loch cruise to explore the waters and see the Highland scenery from a very different perspective.

The Moray Firth is the stretch of water lapping against the shores of Inverness and is said to be one of the best places in Europe to watch sealife. It is estimated that there are currently around 130 dolphins living in these waters with sightings of various other types of whales and dolphins spotted further out to sea. It is a beautiful hub for wildlife and an ideal spot to sit and have a glass of wine, hoping you will be lucky enough to spot any of these beautiful creatures.

Great position for the cottage. Easy walking distance to the town and fab dog walking along the river. So nice to be able to leave the car behind for a change. Great welcome with milk, tea and Shortbread. Thanks so much for a lovely stay.

22a Douglas Row was a great location for access to the city center and its numerous restaurants & pubs with lovely view of the River Ness. Donna greeted us on our arrival to give an overview of the cottage and it's appliances and she provided a welcomed bottle of milk so we could have a cuppa after our long journey, together with some shortbreads wRead morehich was a lovely treat. The cottage itself was very clean but a little dated and could possibly benefit from a little redecoration. The bedroom was very light with just the vertical blinds at the window. Also, although this is separate from the cottage itself, the seagulls squawked regularly during the night which did disturb us - do they sleep??? The flat upstairs did have a variety of people staying for one or two nights, some arriving quite late into the evening. Hide

Great location for the city centre, local walking and access to the main roads. Good selection of cafs and bars. Black Isle bar was a favourite for us with s good selection of organic beers. Also McGregor's bar, good beers with a nice sunny beer garden. Nice walks along River Ness and canal. Lovely beaches at Nairn.
