Cottage was cosy and nice and warm, beds were comfortable. Kitchen very small ,well kitted out, not much work space and high cupboards, you need to be at least 6 feet tall to have any chance of reaching anything. Nice to see the highland cattle and feed them apples.

This is a beautiful cottage, small but perfectly formed! The setting is wonderful with lovely grounds to walk in. Endless supplies of logs mean a roaring fire and a bubbling hot tub cheer up even the dullest days. Owner on hand for helpful advice. Our dogs loved it too especially walking around the grounds Beware the garden if you have escapee dogsRead more as there is a low wall. Our only downside was no walkable pub or cafe nearby. But it was bliss! Hide

We loved our stay at the Balblair gate lodge. The cottage is even lovelier than the photos, and is really nicely decorated. The owners left us plenty of provisions and a lovely welcome basket as well. Tons of toys and books for the kids. We were a bit worried about the road being so close, but once inside it didn't bother us at all. There is gate oRead moren the drive and a gate in the back garden, so we didn't worry about our dog or toddler wandering out on the road. Thank you we will be back! Hide
