Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in the heart of the Duke of Buccleuch’s wonderful country estate. Home of the magnificent Drumlanrig Castle that is regarded as one of the finest examples of 17th Century Renaissance architecture in Scotland. Enjoy a fascinating tour around the pink palace and explore the wonderful castle grounds, with adventure playground and tea rooms. Drumlanrig also hosts an array of yearly events and recently featured as a location for the hit TV series, Outlander. The immediate area is a paradise for walking, cycling, fishing and wildlife spotting with numerous country trails and forest tracks to explore. Close to the picturesque village of Thornhill with quality restaurants, friendly pubs and bespoke shops to enjoy.

Step inside this stylish country cottage from the beautiful, fully enclosed, mature garden into the hall, and head through to the light and bright lounge. Relax in the evenings in front of the roaring wood burner after a day out exploring the beautiful local area, enjoy a movie on the TV/DVD with a large selection of DVDs or play a board game together. Leading back through the hallway you are then met with the wonderful dining room with wood burner and telescope, ideal to spot the array of local wildlife that enters the garden. Enjoy family or romantic meals together around the spacious dining table or listen to your favourite music on the Bluetooth speaker. Next is the shower room with shower, and the separate WC located adjacent. The well-equipped kitchen is the perfect place to cook up a storm, with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. Continuing though the rear hallway of the cottage you will find a double bedroom with lovely rear garden and surrounding countryside views. Completing the ground floor is the utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and ample storage space, with direct access out the undercover patio area and the fully enclosed garden. Heading up the stairs from the front hallway located next to the lounge, to the first floor, you will find two delightful bedrooms, both with lovely views over the front garden, surrounding countryside and woodland. These comprise of a spacious double bedroom and a light and bright twin, both with ample storage space. Finally, completing the accommodation is the handy separate WC, located between the double and twin bedroom.

Venture outside to the fully enclosed, mature gardens, providing a haven for pets and children. There is a fantastic undercover patio area with comfy seating, charcoal BBQ and outside fireplace. Perfect for al fresco dining and lazy evening stargazing perhaps with a nice glass of wine or a good local beer. There is also a well-stocked herb garden area that guest are welcome to use, and ample off-road private parking is located at the side
