Attractive, detached bungalow with a peaceful atmosphere, built around a country house hotel on a wooded hillside and located perfectly for exploring Loch Ness and Glen Urquhart.

In an idyllic wooded setting, this spacious bungalow is perfectly located for visiting beautiful Loch Ness and exploring picturesque Glen Urquhart. With the delightful city of Inverness also within striking distance, this lovely property is ideal for a family break in the Highlands.

Inside, this single-storey property is bright and welcoming with tasteful, contemporary décor. The furniture is comfortable and stylish. Light and spacious, the natural wood furniture and neutral colour scheme create a relaxing atmosphere.

Entering the property, you come into the spacious lounge/diner. This delightful room is bright and welcoming, with a lounge area at one end, with a double sofa bed and an open fire, and a dining table at the other end. Perfectly positioned next to the patio doors, it is a lovely spot to enjoy a family meal together. On warm days, open the patio doors to let in the glorious fresh Highland air. The airy kitchen is neat and stylish, with a handy breakfast bar for your morning coffee. The property has three bedrooms – one king-size which has beautiful countryside views, one twin and a bunk room ideal for children. There is a family bathroom and also a shower room, both with WC.

Outside, there is a pretty decked area leading from the lounge where you can sit and enjoy the lush garden surrounding the property, while children and dogs can burn off excess energy on the enclosed lawn. You can also fish when in season by arrangement with the local hotel.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The nearby village of Drumnadrochit (4.5 miles) on the shore of Loch Ness, offers a selection of shops and places to eat and is the ideal starting point for exploring Loch Ness. Young Nessie hunters will enjoy a visit to Nessieland where you can have some monster fun and learn all about the legendary local.

Get closer still to the home of Nessie by taking a boat trip out onto beautiful Loch Ness. The trips run hourly and its best to book in advance. Enjoy the superb views of Urquhart Castle from the water and watch out for golden eagles soaring above.

The superb Affric Kintail Trail runs almost 44 miles from Morvich on Loch Duich to Drumnadrochit, offering miles of spectacular scenery. Walkers and cyclists will also appreciate the beautiful 10-mile loop around Loch Affric (17 miles).

Well maintained property, everything you could need, good lay out. Good secure garden for dogs. Really pleasant quiet surroundings, with lots of wild life. Situated in the grounds of Glenurquhart House Hotel with excellent Italian restaurant Alto Piano.

Absolutely prefect, had everything you could think of and very pet friendly. Our first holiday with our 8 month old dog Bear. He lived the freedom of the enclosed garden. Very friendly neighbours, would highly recommend if you want a peaceful break away
