One-of-two delightful cottages sleeping four guests, offering a private hot tub, situated on the owner’s Northumbrian farm, just seven miles from the bustling seaside town of Berwick-upon-Tweed.

Just 8 miles from the bustling seaside spot of Berwick-upon-Tweed, this remarkable little property is ideally located for exploring Scotland and England’s border towns. This cosy cottage sleeps four guests and is set on a working farm alongside another four-man cottage, making it ideal for a larger group of friends or two small families holidaying together.

The overarching style of the home is one of comfort and familiarity. A fairly neutral colour scheme is paired with bolder soft furnishings and countryside florals to create a truly welcoming family cottage. You’ll likely find yourself instantly at home here in this farm cottage. Despite being a contemporary and up-to-date home within, a simple look outside will remind you of the far-reaching country views that surround you.

Delve into the generous welcome pack as you arrive and instantly collapse into one of the reclining sofas. Settle in to watch a family DVD in the evening or perhaps catch the morning news over breakfast, as you’ll find a spacious dining table also in this sociable room. For preparing meals or packing up lunches to take out with you, the kitchen is modern, spacious and well equipped.

Upstairs you’ll find two comfy bedrooms and a spacious shared bathroom. The first of these rooms is a cosy double, ideal for the mum and dad of your group, whilst a pretty twin boasts an excellent place for younger guests to stay. Original vaulted ceilings slightly restrict head height in these rooms but add to the overall character of the place.

To the rear of the property, you’ll find a spacious enclosed garden, perfect for children or pets to play. Relax after a long day in your luxurious private hot tub or get the two holidaying families together to enjoy a BBQ and al fresco dining.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

An 8-mile trip to the local town of Berwick-upon-Tweed offers plenty to do for visitors of all ages. Perhaps you'd like to visit the ancient castle ruins or visit one of the museums at the town's 18th-century Barracks. The town is proud of its selection of bridges, running right over the bustling River Tweed, and the most impressive of these is certainly the Royal Border Bridge. Stick around to see it burst into light of an evening, then be sure to enjoy a local restaurant or family-friendly pub before heading home.

In Berwick, you'll find an impressive coastal golf course, plus there are many more in the local area, including an 18-hole championship course in nearby Eyemouth (15 miles). Whilst in this general area, drop by and visit the picturesque village of St Abbs (14.5 miles), with its vast nature reserve and wonderful bird-watching spots.

Those wanting to take home something for supper or simply let an enjoyable afternoon pass you by, fishing is a popular local past time. The famous River Tweed is a mere 3 miles from home and offers the chance to catch brown trout or some salmon. For sea trout head to the nearby Whiteadder Water, just 4 miles.
