Discover the wonders of the Scottish Borders from this charming, contemporary and beautifully furnished holiday cottage, situated just off the green in the picturesque village of Ancrum.

The property is conveniently located just a short stroll from the friendly village pub, serving real ales by an open fire, and the well-stocked local store. Situated in the heart of the Scottish Borders just off the A68 there is a huge variety of activities on offer throughout the area, from discovering the nearby Waterloo Monument on the Lothian Estate, walking the St Cuthbert's Way, fishing, golfing, cycling the Four Abbeys Route or perhaps a visit to the home of cashmere, Hawick. Just a short drive away the town of Jedburgh offers guests the opportunity to take a riverside walk while browsing the shops in the colourful renovated buildings in the Market Place and Canongate and visit the 16th century Ferniehirst Castle. Edinburgh is also easily accessible from local Tweedbank station with frequent services taking less than an hour to reach the city centre.

Sleeping four guests in two delightful bedrooms, this cosy and comfortable self-catering cottage creates the perfect blend of traditional looks and contemporary comforts. Attractively furnished and well-equipped throughout with a bright, fresh feel that encourages relaxation. The cosy lounge is a perfect backdrop for evenings with friends and family where you can cosy up and watch something on the TV/DVD, and double French doors that open onto the sunny terraced garden. The stylish kitchen/diner is equipped to prepare a family meal with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The dining area, with its generous round table, offers plenty of space to enjoy holiday meals. Located under the stairs, you will find the house bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Heading upstairs the traditional coombed ceilings and dormer windows in both bedrooms enhance the character of the cottage, the bedrooms include a twin and a king-size bedroom with en-suite wet room and WC.

Heading outside from the lounge, you will find a sunny terraced garden, this is a real sun trap for most of the day where you can relax and enjoy summertime drinks and al fresco dining. There is off-road parking for two cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
