This wonderful unique period coach house with its charming clock tower. Is nestled in a peaceful, tranquil location within 50 acres of a splendid private estate, within easy reach of local amenities.

Stay in the grounds of an impressive manor house, set on an impressive 50-acre estate made up of gardens and woodland. This recently converted coach house is wonderfully positioned above the estate stables, and younger guests will adore the chance to meet local horses and other wildlife that might cross your path throughout your stay. Accessible via a private flight of stairs, this charming two-bedroom flat comfortably sleeps four guests and two dogs – the perfect wee family home.

 

This first-floor apartment is spacious throughout, so you and your guests won’t feel crowded throughout your stay. Traditional country elements are maintained throughout, yet the home has been entirely modernised for 21st-century living. Enjoy antique-style furniture and feature fireplaces which add to the character, alongside a modern kitchen and utilities which makes holidaying with children a breeze.

 

Head upstairs and wander on through to the charming lounge and dining room. Here you’ll find a feature fireplace with working wood burner for cosy evenings in. Settle into an armchair and enjoy a DVD or TV program after a sumptuous dinner. You can dine at the sociable circular table here in the lounge, enjoying views out onto the estate. When it’s time for bed you’ll be happy to find two generous bedrooms with soft and comfy beds. One boasts a vast king-size bed, whilst the other room is a twin with private en-suite. Those residing in the master bedroom can make use of the shared family bathroom, where a lovely bath sits in front of a window, the chance to soak your aching muscles and watch the day go by.

 

Downstairs you’ll find a small boiler room, a great place to leave muddy outerwear and dry off wet dogs before heading upstairs. Outside you’re more than welcome to explore the seemingly endless estate.

Visitors travel far and wide to enjoy the wonderful golfing opportunities in and around St Andrews. There are a remarkable 50 golf courses within a 25-mile radius of this home, including a championship course in Ladybank (3 miles). Just 15 miles away, in St Andrews, you'll find a renowned waterside golf club and the fascinating British Golf Museum.

During a visit to the historic seaside city of St Andrews, admire the towering cathedral (15.5 miles), the pretty Botanic Gardens (14.5 miles) or simply lose yourself in the abundant shops and eateries on offer. You might also embark on a trip to the nearby city of Dundee (14 miles), a fantastic cultural hub with V&A gallery and arts centre. If visiting Scotland's marvellous cities is your preferred past time, then park up at Cupar (5.5 miles) and take a 1-hour train ride to Edinburgh.

Once you've seen the sights, then be sure to enjoy walking, biking and hiking in the stunning countryside. Within 10 miles you can find yourself in the Lomond Hills, offering plenty of challenging walks and breathtaking viewpoints. Or travel a little bit further to Loch Leven (15.5 miles) and enjoy the easy-going Loch Leven Heritage Trail, a 13-mile walk or cycle on an undisturbed track.

Lovely host, lovely grounds and nice flat. Comfortable and in a good location. Nice to have a log burner and bath after some cold and snowy weather. Lots to visit in the local area.

Our stay was wonderfull. Mr. David and Ms. Sylvia had made us feel home away from home. The fridge and kitchen was filled with goodies upon arrival and they even had a chrisdtmas tree for us to enjoy! they 'flat' has a great layout and our girls had a great time petting the horses every morning. Location was great too, very close to Cupar, St. AndrRead moreews and Edinburgh is not far. We even made a daytrip to the Loch Lomond National park area (beautifull!!). We will definately be back! We had a lovely stay in beautiful accommodation with every piece of equipment we could ask for. Being able to walk The dogs around The estate is a real bonus. The children also loved the horses which were the friendliest beasts ever. We'll be back.

This is a very comfortable, spacious and cozy flat in quiet and green surroundings, with many picturesque and interesting places nearby. Edinburgh can be reached by train via Cupar and the Fife Coastal Path offers many opportunities for longer and shorter walks. David and Silvia are most hospitable and very helpful, if any problem occurs. A very reRead moremote drawback is the smell you might notice when entering the flat. Beautiful converted coach house. Very dog friendly with boiler room downstairs and cloakroom if required for wet dog. Very peaceful location with lots of costal walks nearby . Owners very friendly with great access to local fields to walk from house grounds. House is above stables but soon get used to the horse odour. Would recommend staying here.
