This far north-western region of Skye commands some of the most remote and rugged coastlines in Scotland, protected and guarded by the Outer Hebrides. Milovaig is a small crofting township that is part of the community-owned Glendale Estate. Glendale is teeming with wildlife and said to be the likeliest place on Skye for spotting seals, dolphins, porpoises, whales and even sharks! Its landscape is unspoilt and displays dramatic steep cliffs contrasting with soft meadows and rolling hills. It is a truly beautiful area to discover by foot, by bike or by water and the scenery from every angle will take your breath away.

Dunvegan (10 miles) is home to the famous Dunvegan Castle and Gardens, set in the heart of the 42,000-acre McLeod Estate dominating a stunning waterside location that overlooks Loch Dunvegan. This picturesque castle and gardens are in pristine condition and open to the public to view and appreciate Skye's island heritage and culture.

The iconic Neist Point Lighthouse (3 miles) sits on the most westerly headland of Skye and is a must-see for any guest visiting this area. It overlooks the wild and dramatic coastline of the Outer Hebrides and if you're lucky enough in the summer months, you might even spot a Minke whale!

Beautiful, well equipped and comfortable cottage. The cottage is remote with absolutely amazing views. It was perfect for 4 people with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated and furnished. I would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage and hope we can return some time in the future.
