Set on the edge of the pretty village of Tibbermore, this absolutely beautiful cottage makes a great holiday retreat for a family or a group of friends looking for an idyllic holiday home in the Perth area. With the famous course at Gleneagles nearby (15 miles), this is a fantastic base for golfers, and keen anglers can catch salmon or trout along the River Tay. The property offers light, cosy and comfortable accommodation for up to eight guests (plus an extra two children under 14 on the additional sofa bed) and is perfect for exploring the breathtaking Perthshire countryside.

 

This attractive, bright and incredibly stylish holiday retreat has been beautifully decorated and charmingly furnished, making this a wonderful hideaway for all the family to enjoy. Features include a cosy wood burner, two pretty lounges, a snug/games room and a delightful outdoor seating area on the patio. Set in a wonderful secluded location, this spacious and elegant house offers a fantastic tranquil retreat.

 

On entering this spacious house, the hallway leads you through to the lovely light and airy lounge. This coolly decorated room is a delightful space for relaxing in, with a warming wood burner, plenty of seating and a TV/DVD so you can snuggle up with a favourite movie in the evening. The bespoke kitchen/diner has been stylishly designed and makes a wonderful space for you to all gather and share a family meal. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you may need, and the dining area is perfect whether you’re grabbing a snack or marking a special occasion. Exploring the ground floor further, there’s a snug room with a games console, TV/DVD, a selection of games and a handy double sofa bed. The ground floor also features two attractive bedrooms: a cosy twin room and the master king-size room which has a TV, en-suite shower room and French doors leading out into the garden.

 

Going upstairs to the first floor there are two further comfortable bedrooms. The first is a charming king-size room, and the second is a king-size zip-and-link which can be made into a twin room on request. This room also has its own TV and an en-suite bathroom which is just as stylish as the rest of the house.

 

Stepping outside, the cottage has two enclosed gardens, offering a perfect area for children to play, for dogs to run about and for you all to enjoy a spot of al fresco dining or to laze back and gaze at the stars. There is also plenty of off-road parking.

 

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The property makes a wonderful base for exploring the stunning Perthshire countryside, with a range of fantastic walks throughout the area and plenty of activities to take part in including cycling, angling, golf and water sports. The historic city of Perth, known as the Fair City (5.5 miles) was the capital of Scotland for 500 years. Lying on the banks of the River Tay, Perth offers a choice of fantastic independent shops, supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, weekend markets, art galleries, and museums.

There are numerous attractions to visit including the Fair Maid's House, the Black Watch Museum, Perth Playhouse, St Ninians Cathedral, Perth Museum and Art Gallery, Huntingtower Castle and the popular Perth Racecourse. You can explore historic landmarks including Scone Palace (7 miles), St Serf's Church and Dupplin Cross (8.5 miles), Stanley Mills (8.5 miles) and Elcho Castle (10 miles).

Keen golfers are spoilt for choice with nearby courses including Crieff (13.5 miles), North Inch (5.5 miles) and Gleneagles (15.5 miles). Kinnoull Hill Woodland Park (6.5 miles) is home to a beautiful arboretum and is a perfect spot for walkers, with chances to see roe deer. Dunkeld (16 miles) is home to a beautiful cathedral, the Beatrix Potter Exhibition at Birnam Arts, and The Hermitage. Nature-lovers can head to the Loch of the Lowes (18 miles) for a chance to see ospreys, beavers and red squirrels.

the owners have thought of everything. The decor is very tasteful the living areas and bedrooms are very comfortable and everything is of the best quality. The owners introduced themselves and gave many recommendations of things to do and places to visit. Excellent.

This house was stunning! Everything was immaculately clean. On a practical level everything required was provided in the kithchen. The fixtures and finish were high end, decor very tasteful. The outside space was lovely. In terms of location the house is in a quiet picturesque spot, but has easy access to Perth and surrounding areas. We were a group of 10 coming to this cottage over New Year. The cottage was absolutely beautiful, modern and super clean. It was so well equipped, we really didnt need to bring anything But food. Lynsey the owner was so helpful throughout and left us a lovely welcome pack. Would definitely recommend and hopefully will be back!
