A charming property in Speyside that is within walking distance of all local amenities. A home away from home that the whole family will enjoy.

Situated on a quiet road in the pretty town of Aberlour, this delightful property is ideally located for those wishing to explore Speyside and Moray. Perfect for couples, small families and groups, the outdoor enthusiasts among you can enjoy golf, fishing, mountain biking and numerous walking trails, whilst the urbanites will love exploring the bustling town centre with all its amenities on the doorstep.

 

Light, bright and spacious throughout, this charming property is all on one level and is accessed by a flight of exterior stairs. Elegant, country house styling, with gilded paintings and classic furniture throughout complements cream walls and splashes of colour in the soft furnishings, creating a welcoming home. Step into the light and bright lounge, where sumptuous sofas beckon you to snuggle up in front of the TV, before gathering in the dining room for sociable mealtimes. Both the lounge and dining room have doors to the balcony, making it the perfect spot to sit and enjoy al fresco dining with beautiful countryside views at any time of the day. Cook a delicious meal in the kitchen where patio doors lead to the back garden, and the useful utility room is perfect for discarding dirty boots and damp coats. Three double bedrooms are simple and elegant; wake rejuvenated to take your morning coffee in the garden as the kids scatter the morning dew on the lawn.

The lively town of Aberlour sits on the River Spey and is in the heart of whisky country, offering boutique shops, cafes, pubs, and a great selection of bars and restaurants. An excellent base for whisky lovers, there are a number of distilleries within easy reach including Macallan (3 miles), Glenfiddich (4.5 miles), Aberlour and Dalmunach (4.5 miles). Sitting at the north-eastern gateway to the Cairngorms National Park, explore mountains, lochs and woodland and if you tackle one of the 55 Munros, you can join the ‘Munro Bagger’ club! Climb 2,733ft to summit Ben Rinnes (12 miles), a brilliant hill walk with extensive and dramatic views.

Get your heart racing along the mountain biking and walking trails through extensive forest around Ben Aigan (7 miles). Passing through Aberlour, The Speyside Way runs for 65 miles from the Moray Coast to Aviemore and is ideal for cycling and walking enthusiasts. Golfers will love playing 18 holes at the Ballindalloch Castle Golf Club (8 miles) and Dufftown Golf Club (6 miles), whilst avid skiers and snowboarders are close to the Lecht Ski Centre (28 miles) and Cairngorm Mountain (42 miles).

The Moray Coast offers miles of sandy beaches and beautiful, shallow bays including Roseisle (20 miles), Findhorn (26 miles) and Nairn (36 miles) where you may even spot dolphins and seals. There is a plethora of outdoor activities for all the family at Aquaplay Scotland (4.5 miles), including paddleboarding, gorge walking, kayaking, coasteering, and tubing, and find archery, golf, laser tag, laser clays and paintball at Craggan Outdoors (22 miles).

Lovely house in a quiet location 5/ 10 min walk to the centre. The sitting area out the back has a barbecue, gets the sun and is very peaceful. It has everything you need washing machine, tumble dryer and dish washer. It also has a large fridge freezer. I will certainly be back.

Lovely quiet edge of village location, easy to find with the directions given by owner. Well equipped very spacious home, comfy beds! Would definitely recommend.
