Nested in a beautiful rural area close to the picture postcard village of St Boswells. Easy reach of the historic towns of Melrose, Jedburgh and Kelso with their beautiful 12th century abbeys. Born in the borders offers a great day out with grass sledging, brewery and distillery. Enjoy a day out at Kelso races or try ice skating and curling at the local ice rink (open seasonally). Visit the grand stately homes of Abbotsford, Mellerstain and Manderson, or the wonderful castles of Floors and Thirlestane. The immediate area is a paradise for walkers and hikers with St Cuthbert’s Way, Cheviot and Eildon hills to explore and fishermen will be delighted with the river Tweed, renowned for its excellent Salmon & Trout fishing.

Stepping inside this stylish detached cottage into the hall with ample storage space for your outdoor clothing. The lovely light and bright lounge with wood burner and smart TV is the perfect place to relax after a day out exploring the beautiful local area. Next is the fantastic open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Relax on the sofa and enjoy a great movie on the smart TV. The well-equipped kitchen is the perfect place to cook up a storm with electric oven with induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and a handy dishwasher and washing machine. The dining area is ideal for romantic or family meals together with French doors leading directly out to the enclosed patio. There is a stylish shower room with large, level access shower cubical and WC and finally completing the ground floor is the twin bedroom that can be made into super king-size on request.. Heading up the quirky spiral staircase you will find the spacious master double bedroom, with window seating to enjoy the wonderful countryside views and en-suite bathroom with double ended bath and WC.

Venturing outside with direct access from the open-plan living area is the fully enclosed patio with seating and charcoal BBQ, ideal for alfresco dining and dark skies gazing. There is also a fully enclosed garden located at the side of the cottage and off-road parking for two cars is available directly in front of the property, with secure bike storage at the rear. The owner is usually able to offer doggy day care should you decide on a dog free day.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Beautiful homely cottage with everything you could need. Not too far away from neighbouring towns but a car is definitely required!
