Explore the picture-postcard village of St Fillans, cycle along the lochside, try your hand at trout fishing or take part in thrilling water sports on the loch before returning for a cosy night of films in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner.

Inside, this cosy cabin is warm and welcoming, with pine cladding throughout and plenty of homely touches. Rustle up romantic meals for two in the kitchen area, which contains everything you should need, before dining at the table beside the French doors nearby. After a long day of adventuring with your loved one, unwind on the inviting L-shaped sofa while catching up on your favourite programmes on the TV/DVD, or simply relax and admire the view. Located in an elevated position above Loch Earn, this property boasts magnificent and far-reaching views across to the surrounding mountains. Nearby, the picturesque village of St Fillans (4 miles) is home to a good selection of amenities, including a well-stocked shop, array of eateries and a golf course, perfect for stocking up on supplies or enjoying a delicious meal out when you would rather not cook. Other nearby towns and villages include the pretty village of Comrie (9 miles), the foodie favourite of Crieff (15.5 miles) and the bustling tourist town of Callander (17.5 miles), all of which offer a greater selection of shops and eateries. Or, for even more amenities and a slice of cosmopolitan life, travel further afield to reach the bustling cities of Perth (33.5 miles), Stirling (33.5 miles) and Edinburgh (69 miles). Ideal for active types, the local area is rich in sporty pursuits, from Munro bagging to cycling, trout fishing and hiking. At 985 metres, Ben Vorlich to the south of the loch is a popular climbing spot for visitors, who are rewarded by breathtaking views from the top across the loch and the surrounding national park. We had a fantastic stay at the cabin this week. Absolutely beautiful view of the Loch and great amenities, including a perfectly placed hot tub which is undercover for when it rains, lit by fairy lights - great in the day or evening after a long walk! Just above the cabin is a lovely old railroad that you can walk along to the next village. The hosRead morets also generously left a bottle of prosecco, milk, eggs and bread which were much appreciated and enjoyed. Would 100% book again! Hide

This is a very cosy cabin, good walks from right behind the cottage. There is some noise from the road but it wasn't very busy when we stayed.

Amazing lodge with the most spectacular views, sunsets, sunrises and walks. Had the best time ever staying here for a week - a week was not enough!! The hot tub is great to look out onto the Loch. Plentiful walks nearby and only 5/10 minutes car journey to Comrie, 20 minutes to Crieff and 20 minutes to Killin. What a location. We had a perfect week celebrating our silver wedding and the welcome gifts of prosecco, fresh bread and eggs were very much appreciated. The cabin was cosy and had everything we needed including stunning views.

Perfect 4 night stay in the milestone cabin, the cabin was clean and cosy with the most comfiest bed. Stunning views of loch earn (missing waking up to that beautiful view already). Nice quiet location and perfect for relaxing especially in the hot tub! Will definitely be back in the future.

Simple cabin in beautiful location. Hot tub is an excellent addition. Great option if you want a break from it all, as there is very limited WiFi. Hotel nearby is excellent and a must visit for dinner.

Milestone Cabin is in a beautiful setting on the banks of Loch Earn it is well equipped and clean with the use of kayaks which was great. However road noise and jet ski noise spoil what should be a quiet retreat.

The location of the cabin is fantastic. Its set above the road nestled in the hillside. The views each day across the loch to the mountains made the holiday. Helpful, friendly owners greeted us and the cabin was well equipped and cosy. Aches from walking can be melted away in the sheltered hot tub. This little cabin in just perfect. When we arrived there was fresh bread, eggs (from the resident hens) and Prosecco chilling in the fridge. The bed is very comfortable and location quiet and peaceful with a magnificent view over Loch Earn.
