This immaculate, three-bedroom bungalow is the perfect base from which to explore the glorious Scottish Highlands. With stunning coast and countryside to visit as well as the city of Inverness just a short drive away, this superb property is perfect for a family or group of friends.

Inside, the cottage is stylish and welcoming, furnished in a clean, contemporary style throughout. From the soft, leather sofas to the crisp, white bed linen, it offers a calm and uncluttered space in which to unwind.

Enter this single-storey cottage through the front door and into the hall. From there, you are welcomed into the sunny lounge. With its gently crackling wood burner and comfortable sofas, it is a lovely place in which to relax after a day out exploring. Enjoy a drink and some good conversation or just sit back and doze in front of the TV. Adjacent to the lounge is the well-equipped kitchen/dining room. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast in this bright room or relax over an evening meal. On warm days, throw open the door to the garden and let in the fresh Highland air. The three bedrooms are decorated in calm, neutral colours. The king-size bedroom has an en-suite, and the double and twin rooms have access to the main bathroom with shower over bath.

Outside there is a spacious garden edged by mature trees on one side, with a large lawn perfect for children or a canine companion. Enjoy a coffee at the picnic table or rustle up an al fresco meal on the BBQ. Next to the property, there is plenty of off-road parking, along with an outbuilding for storing mountain bikes if required.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The property is conveniently situated in the charming village of Muir of Ord where you can find a handful of shops, restaurants and takeaways.

Whisky lovers will enjoy a visit to the nearby Glen Ord Distillery where you can go on a tour to learn about the distilling process and enjoy a taste of the result.

A half-hour drive brings you to Loch Ness (16 miles). Head out on bikes or on foot around the loch to take in the views or go on a cruise – children will love watching out for its most famous resident. Pay a visit to Urquhart Castle midway along the loch where you can explore the ruins before heading to the cafe for a drink.

Beautiful Inverness (14 miles) is just a 20-minute ride on the train from Muir of Ord. Enjoy a stroll around this historic city, with its restaurants, shops, galleries and museums, or head out on a dolphin-spotting trip into the Moray Firth.

Fabulous cottage, with everything you could ask for to make your holiday. It was clean, tidy, very welcoming. The additional touches included basic extras such as bread, milk, toiletries were a nice touch. Good location, within short driving distance of where we wanted to visit.
