This lovingly converted detached house is an ideal spot to enjoy the coastal village of Badachro and surrounding areas. Located in a peaceful setting with stunning views over the harbour.

This delightful property is set in an idyllic location on the west coast of Scotland and offers breathtaking views across Badachro Bay. With plenty of space for eight guests with an additional infant, it’s a lovely holiday retreat which makes a fabulous base for exploring this beautiful and secluded area. It is also a marvellous base for keen walkers and climbers, with plenty in the area to explore and enjoy including long coastal walks, spectacular lochs and remote mountains - with chances for activities even including kayaking and mountain biking. With nearby destinations like Inverewe Gardens and the glorious Loch Maree to explore, the cottage makes a great hideaway. There are also plenty of pubs and restaurants to relax in as you uncover this breathtaking region.

 

This bright, airy and inviting property has been attractively decorated in light, soothing and neutral tones. Furnishings include a tasteful choice of comfortable furniture, with plenty of attention to detail and a refreshing sense of space throughout the house. The highlight of the property is the magnificent sunroom which has been specially designed to make the most of the stunning scenery of this haunting part of the western coast.

 

Entering this wonderful property, you will find the pretty lounge. With a lovely view, plenty of seating and TV, this is an ideal space for relaxing in at the end of a great day discovering this fantastic area. Exploring this lovely retreat further, you’ll find the beautifully designed kitchen has been fully equipped and is perfect for preparing your favourite meals. The kitchen also features an attractive breakfast table, and leads into a larger dining room which is perfect for enjoying a special family meal. The large sunroom, with its large windows and exposed ceiling beams, makes a wonderful space for the family to sit back in while enjoying the views and chatting about the day. The ground floor also has a delightful and comfortable twin bedroom along with a shower room.

 

Going upstairs, the first floor offers three more light, simple and cosy bedrooms. The charming double bedroom has its own en-suite shower room, and the delightful second double room and the pretty twin room share the main bathroom.

 

Stepping outside via the dining room French doors, the lovely south-facing patio is furnished with a choice of outdoor furniture, allowing you to unwind with a BBQ, an al fresco meal or a glass or two of wine in the evening. The delightful garden is fully enclosed.

Situated in a peaceful location above the coastal village of Badachro, the area surrounding the cottage is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. Stroll into the village for some refreshments in the well-regarded inn (0.5 miles), pick up a unique souvenir in the craft shop and watch the fishermen unload their catch on the jetty. Pull on your walking boots for a hike to the Fairy Lochs (2 miles) hidden on the hillside in search of the perfect picnic spot. Book a truly memorable experience at Falconry Scotland (2 miles) where you can get close to the hawks, buzzards and falcons on a raptor encounter. Learn the secrets of gin distilling with a tour of the Badachro Distillery (1.5 miles), or spend the day at beautiful Redpoint Beach (6 miles). Build sandcastles, explore the rock pools and play hide and seek in the sand dunes and keep your eyes peeled for porpoises playing in the clear waters offshore. Take to the waters from Gairloch Harbour (5.5 miles) where you can choose from a relaxing glass-bottom boat ride offering a window into the sea life below or an exhilarating RIB ride across the waves in search of seals and dolphins.

A great house with everything needed for 8 people. The location was phenomenal, with amazing views all around. The house was close to everything you might want to do. I would highly recommend this house for large family groups, or maybe two small families who would like to holiday together.
