As my wife and I meandered down to the Kildermorie Estate a transformation began. A mysterious tranquility dominated as the world and its hectic pace we left behind began to dissipate. We viewed a variety of wildlife and birds whose morning melodies were like a choir. We fished Loch Morie and the streams that slipped down from the Highlands. We visited Allness to enjoy the Station Hotel Pub and fine restaurant. We hiked the estate's many paths and visited the many ancient area churches. We did not have a vacation in the routine traditional sense but we experienced a beauty of a an unknown magnitude. Hide
